I bought several Novostella Tunable White LED strip kits for my bedroom makeover, and they’ve honestly exceeded my expectations. The biggest surprise was the adhesive. It’s the perfect balance—not so weak that the strips fall off, but not so aggressive that it leaves a bunch of sticky residue behind. I installed them directly on the unfinished backing of my furniture, and they adhered extremely well without any issues. The warm white and cool white tuning is fantastic. I was specifically looking for a modern hotel-style ambient lighting setup instead of colorful RGB lights, and these absolutely delivered. The warm white looks clean, relaxing, and matches my black furniture perfectly. One of my favorite features is the RF remote. I bought multiple kits, and after pairing the controllers, I can control all of them with a single remote. If you’re buying multiple Novostella Tunable White RF kits, you don’t have to use a separate remote for each one. For anyone wondering how to pair them: unplug the controller you want to pair, plug it back in, and within about 5 seconds press and hold the 100% Cool White (snowflake) button on the remote until the strip flashes. Repeat the process for each controller you want to pair to that remote. It worked perfectly for my setup. Installation was also much easier than I expected. I originally planned to use mounting clips, but the factory adhesive worked so well that I ended up using it instead. Being able to cut the strips to the exact length I needed made installation even easier. Overall, these lights completely transformed my room. The backlighting and underglow give my furniture a clean, floating appearance that looks much more expensive than it actually was. If you’re looking for high-quality tunable white LED strips with excellent adhesion, easy installation, reliable RF control, and a premium look, I highly recommend these. ... show more

Used for my TV console and I love it. I originally had the multi RGB colours, but got tired of them and wanted a strip of varying whites, so it feels a little more grown up and matches decor better. The warm white with my faux candles creates a nice warm glow for a warm and cozy atmosphere. I bought this product twice already and I still think it’s a good product. I used the first set on the back of a mirror and the second set behind my bed headboard, which is fabric by the way, and it stuck perfectly fine. As far as I know, this is the warmest it gets in terms of color warmth and ambience on Amazon. I think it’s a good value for the money and the remote control is very convenient/sleek-looking. It’s obviously not water resistant from what I could tell in the product description so I wouldn’t test it. In terms of durability, I would make sure that it doesn’t get tangled because some of the strips tend to go out and you have to kind of press on them like a button to activate them again. ... show more

Installed these for upper cabinet lighting and they work great. I like the adjustable color temperature and brightness options. After a year they’re still going strong. Some sections came unstuck after a few months, but a little super glue fixed it easily.

Had mounted this on a window frame with double sided tape. I wanted to use the led lights as an accent wall lighting and wanted it lit the entire time even when we are watching television but it was a wrong move because I did not forsee that the light would reflect when its simultaneously on together with the television. The television was across it. Had to redo it and decided to have it on the floor instead and have a shadow effect on the wall. I was amazed how the product held up even when I took it apart. All of the lights turned on. You can use this led light by itself without any accessories or add ons but I wish they would mention as an option on the product details / description that you have the choice of wanting to make it look professional by buying the add ons. I had to research it onmy own coz I did not want the led lights poking out with tiny squares on that long strip. I wanted it pleasing to the eyes and make it look a bit somehow professionally made. I had to buy an a. )aluminum led channel system to diffuse the light( brand :muzata, comes in 10 pack ) b.) Led channel connector brand : muzata ) c.) L shape 4 pin connectors 10 pack for the led lights, you need a corner connector ( brand :jackyled ). I did not want to use screws and poke a hole on the wall , so I use a double sidedtape d.) Brand : Nano double sided tape. Overall this product is sturdy even if I had to redo and put the connectors back in. It did not break. All of the LEDs lit up. It very bright. When put up against the wall it will light up the entire room without even using your main lights. It's a white light and can be dimmed. It's so pretty. It highlights your wall especially if put it on the floor. It accentuates your wallpaper and etcetera. I have it for close to more than 4 months now. It's still working well and I have ordered 4 more. I have 5 in total. I had moved it alot of times. I think what made mine sturdy if you think you would move it around and change it and place it someplace else from time to time is not strip off / peel or use the sticky tape ( at the back of the led lights ).; instead use another sticky tape or a 3m strip , this way when you have to pull it and redecorate ...it keeps the led lights together and does not apart. It worked for me. I wish they would sell it at an affordable price point. It's a bit expensive especially if you buy lots of it ... show more

This light strip uses two different color temperature white LED set in pairs about 1.75cm (3/4") from center-to-center of the pairs, so they are fairly closely spaced. White color temperature is adjusted from about 3K-6K Kelvin by increasing or decreasing the relative intensity of the two LEDs in each pair. One LED in each pair is actually a 3K (yellowish) Kelvin LED and the other LED is a 6K Kelvin LED (blueish). I was afraid the strip would look like a string of yellow and blue LEDs, but in reality the color temperature control works very well and gives a very good rendition of various color temperatures between the two extremes, and it's fairly hard to see "yellow" or "blue" when you look at the strip directly (though a discerning eye will pick up the slight differences in color temperature between the two LEDs. The remote is actually of pretty amazing quality considering the price of this set. Where most of these LED strip comes with one of these very cheap remotes with a multitude of bubble buttons (not really buttons, just a bubble in the plastic) that sometimes work and sometimes don't, and almost always fail over time, this remote looks and feels remarkably like a Roku or Amazon Fire-stick remote. There are real soft-touch buttons. The buttons are well thought out and allow easy customization of the light strip without tons of redundant or needless buttons. A nice feature is the light strip has a memory and turns on with the settings in place when it was last turned off. The strip is attached to a clean smooth surface (such as that under a kitchen cabinet) and the adhesive seems to be fairly good. I've only had my strip installed for about two weeks, but there is no sign of them beginning to peel away from the under cabinet surface. I used this strip under cabinet in my officer where I have a couple of 3D printers, several photo printers, a microscope, etc. all of which needed more light to work with. They are working out perfectly and my wife already wants me to install more under our cabinets in the kitchen. I plan to wait another few weeks to see if they continue to work properly, but assuming they do, I plan to buy at least two more sets. ... show more

    • Flicker and dimming issues
I have installed these above and below my kitchen cabinets. In both locations i have spliced the line to run both runs in parallel, this is the correct way to prevent dimming of LEDs over a long run. That said, on one wall the lights have been running perfectly for the last couple months at about 50% brightness and left on all day. On the other set of cabinets, I first had a bad power source that would strobe so badly if you waved your hand under the light it looked like you were on a dance floor. Great for club lighting perhaps. Customer support was great and sent a new power source that seemed to work with some minimal slight flicker issues every couple of minutes. We decided to overlook it but the problem has gotten steadily worse over the last two months and now a set at the end of the bottom run of lights is at about half the brightness of the first set on that run. In total i'm running about 9 feet of lights on each parallel run. That is 9 feet above the cabinets and 9 feet below. Each run is also spliced into 3 sections of 3 feet since i have cabinets that go up and down. I used the LED tape splicers to connect the runs and where i had to splice the wires, i used solder with grease and shrink wrap over it (about the best connection you can possibly get. Customer support reached out and offered to replace the lights and refund my money but then notified me that they got their hands slapped for asking me to take my post down prior to sending it. That was a couple weeks ago and i have not noticed the refund and was not shipped the promised replacement so I'm re-posting. At the end of the day, these lights are amazing for the price....if they work. If i were to do it over again, for the cost of all the connectors and wire and my time to do the installation multiple times and email back and forth with the support team...I would buy something a little higher quality to save me a big frustration headache. If you really enjoy installing stuff like this and budget is a big factor in your decision, this may still be the set for you. ... show more
