This bed is absolutely perfect. Very sturdy and surprisingly stylish. The dark grey upholstery and simple clean shape will fit almost any decor. It doesn’t look cheap at all. The storage capacity is maximized to use the entire space under the bed - a life saver for small apartment living. The drawers slide easily on my relatively thick carpet and I love that they lock in place on the frame. I’ve been using it for sleep, storage, and reading/tv watching for 3 months now and it is still very sturdy and looks brand new. The bed comes in one box and I was shocked at how small it was. It was pretty heavy but I (medium-sized girl) was able to slide it from my apartment lobby to the elevators to my room without help. If you have stairs, it will likely be a two person job. The bed is broken down into lots of pieces to minimize shipping size, therefore it takes a little effort to put together. I did it alone in about 1.5 hours. Luckily each piece is very light so it was easy to do by myself. Most of the time was just getting all the screws tightened. Only downside is the back of the headboard is not finished - just a piece of black cloth covering the frame so it wouldn’t look good in the middle of the room. We did some major cleaning and rearranging and needed a new bed for a full mattress. One of our kids had this bed and really like it. We ordered it, it came on time (although you can expect about 3 weeks for the delivery). We were able to get it assembled in a couple of hours. It is a no-box springs type bed, so even with the mattress on it sits a bit low. With the mattress on, the top of the mattress is at about 22 inches. The mattress is basic, not one of the really high/memory foam types, firm but comfy. We love the storage drawers, which are now holding extra blankets, quilts, and pillows. Be advised that this is not "heirloom" furniture. The construction is basic. The drawer sides & bottoms are flexible plastic, kind of like the heavier-duty clear shelf liner. If you were to overload the drawers, especially with heavy stuff or things with hard edges, you could easily make a tear or hole in them. Overall, it's great for our intended use as a guest bed. The headboard is gray fabric, fairly neutral, and pretty much as pictured in the description photo. For less than $300, it's a deal. ... show more

I was worried with the other reviews I had read. This bed was not hard to put together with two people it took maybe an hour. It is in fact very sturdy. I am not sure why so many people said they had to reinforce it. Its already well enforced in several places. The metal is strong not cheap. I really wanted a bang for my buck bed that would last. I had to make sure I read all the reviews and ratings not just here but other sites as well. Well I am glad I went with my gut on this one, because we have had it for several month and not a single issue. The only thing I did was add non slip to the bottom legs so that my floors weren't scratched. Works like a charm. The drawers are not in place, but they work just fine. Its not a hassle to have them this way. they font just slide around, there is a bar that keeps them from going too far astray. The drawers are actually really big. I wanted to do away with a 4 drawer dresser I had, and I did. with only two of the drawers I fit most of the items. This IS the bed to beat all other beds. I love the color and it was very easy to assemble. The plastic cups which hold the slats van be tough to press into the frame. I did bend a few of the plastic leads before getting a mallet and pounding them in. Most snapped into place perfectly with my palm pressing down, but a few bent and almost broke. I had a piece of the drawer come broken, they are plastic lined inside. Only the front is upholstered wood. The company had a very simple online replacement parts order form and my parts came within a week from Canada. Overall very pleased with the bed frame, the storage space of the drawers are amazing, and the bed is very sturdy. ... show more
