Just finished putting this together, so some advice 1 - get the instructions from the manufacturer website and read through them before you even unpack. This will possibly effect how and where you set up. For instance, we knew we had to build it in the room it was going to be in, so we unpacked the box in another room and organized the pieces in the bed's new home. 2- I did this as one person in about 2 hours total. Had I gotten help it could have gone much faster. The worst part is the little plastic bits that are used to secure and support the metal slats. They just take up a lot of time and occasionally cause skin pinching. 3- this is a metal bed. It makes some noise. But if you make sure all your washers and nuts are on properly and that they're tightened well, it won't squeak. But it does make some noise like any other large metal structure would. If you need silent bc of thin walls, this isn't the bed for you. 4 - the trundle isn't attached to the bed, it just tucks underneath. This is preferable from an adolescent sleepover point of view, but worth noting ... show more

Adorable and sturdy. However, some of the screw holes were only partially punched, so I had to push open the hole before being able to assemble. Also, it should be noted that this is an antique white, not a bright white.

Purchased this bed for my 5 y.o daughter and when her little cousin comes to spend the night. Seems sturdy enough. Affordable and was pretty simple putting together. I put an 8" mattress on top and bottom.. which leaves a bit of spacing for a comforter to go on the bottom bed as well. I have no complaints so far. ... show more

The instructions were simple, this bed has not been slept on yet. I have sat on it a couple of times and so far the little plastic pieces you snap in after the bars are in place have fallen out. I'm just sitting on it and you can hear the popping out. So I don't know if I have company and they sleep on it is it going to break down? This had to be put together in the bedroom because it won't fit through the door. ... show more
