A little more $ than you may want to spent on a good carry-on-wheel-pull-back-pack luggage, but totally worth it. Meets so many short and long trip travel plans, and trust me I have a closet full of many "not quite good enough" options that often have me packing two where this may even get me down from 3 to 1. The only suggestion I would recommend, if this is your first Topo Design purchase, go to the website and buy direct. They provide a nice discount if you set up an email account. The shipment will take longer, but saves you enough to cover the Amazon Prime free and quicker shipping fees.

Bag is colorful so easy to spot on the airport baggage circle. It is very well made.... survived a trip to Europe and still looks and functions as required. I used this as my only bag so packed it extremely full. didn't use the shoulder straps as It would have been too heavy. But I have no doubt the straps would have worked had the bag not been so heavily packed. I would buy this bag again in a heartbeat!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a very well thought out bag, for the most part, but I didn't end up keeping it. The bag has a very "i like to hike" look about it. This isn't a bad thing, as I do like hiking, but just pointing this out if you couldn't notice from the images. I kind of liked the look and I certainly liked the fact that it could be used as a giant backpack if needed (although I likely would never use it for that). It has some nice zippers and compartments, but for what I needed it still felt somewhat smaller that competing backs with about the same volume. Also, the wheel are cool, but it causes a huge issue. Having the back stand up vertically is challenging because wheel size. The wheels make the back tilt forward, which means the bag can (and does) very easily fall forward when standing vertically. This was a big reason why I didn't keep it. The other reason was that I also ordered a Timbuk2 Co-Pilot, which actually has less volume but seems to have thought out how to use that volume better. Also the wheels on the Timbuk2 Co-Pilot are superior and don't throw off the balance of the bag when standing vertically.

Great for trips

This roller backpack would be a 5 star if the “removable” back straps were easier to remove. Customers service from company (Topo Design) just told me “they are challenging “ and told me to squeeze the plastic which seems immovable. I’m afraid they may break. I just took it on a trip and it is great for carry-on or check baggage. Very sturdy with many pockets. I hope over time, the hinge on straps soften to more easily clasp and be able to remove straps and if adding other packs to outside of the backpack. Color is very nice.
