Great price for the “meh” quality. Size of the bed and length of couch is good. Mattress is thin but you can always add layers after it is pulled out. Wonderful to have if you frequently have guests or need a lowkey bed storage option. After the first order was broken in transit we finally reordered and received the sofa. Cons… the seat cushions are ROCK hard! If you like extremely firm couches, this is for you. Maybe they will soften with time, but they are not enjoyable presently. We noticed a corner of the seat cushion is also crushed after delivery? Whether it was delivered like that or was it from the guys moving it in… we’ll never know. I recently purchased two of these futons. I read a lot of the reviews before buying. I was certainly hesitant to buy after reading how these were uncomfortable and too firm etc. Everything about the futon is well thought out. They supply the exact amount of washers, nuts and bolts as well as a blister pack of back ups, which I never had to use. All of the components are well labeled and included an easy to read instruction booklet. The tools, legs and hardware were boxed and tucked neatly amongst the folded futon. The futon arms were in the two zippered compartments beneath the seats. The folded futon and arms were encased in a thin black fabric to protect it. You receive the tools to put it together, though the flat wrench is exhausting to use. Some reviews mention that their futon arms were wobbly or seemed like they would break under pressure. The arms shouldn’t be wobbly if you hand tightened them properly. You have to work your way back and forth tightening the nuts. The first nuts become loose after you tighten the latter. I am leaning my back on the arm of the futon as I write this, I have no fear that it will break! There are four bolts, nuts, washers and lock washers on each arm; it’s not going anywhere. I assembled both futons myself but I would recommend getting an assistant when flipping them right side up, as you don’t want to damage the legs and because the couch wants to fold in half at the hinge when you move it. There are four nice wood legs, the two center legs/supports are a sturdy plastic. The center legs have a horizontal flange with screw holes. The center legs and flange are all one piece of plastic. These legs affix directly over the large hinges between the two bottom cushion sections. This aspect of the design is my least favorite. I don’t care for the center hinge of the futon and how the plastic legs affix to that. Of course the couch wanted to fold along the hinge after the legs were affixed, I worried that the plastic legs would snap but they didn’t. It serves its purpose for having a compact, easy to ship futon though. The fabric is nice and the green seems to have brown under-tones. I believe the fabric is linen-look rather than actual linen. The green is gorgeous. As far as the comfort: there is ample padding on the futon back. The seat has springs and padding. I find the futon comfortable and not overly firm. I have had no trouble sleeping on it at all. The seat height is perfect for me (5’5”), I don’t feel like it’s too low. The seat depth is perfect for me as well. There is no movement nor creaking whatsoever when I jiggle the futon, the futon is solidly built. Overall I feel like I made a good purchase on this retro design (under $300 with tax) and I’m glad I took the chance on it. It doesn’t look nor feel cheap. I think it is a fair price for what you get. Both futons were free from rips, breaks and stains or funny odors. One futon shipping box was a bit crushed on both ends, like it had been dropped, I didn’t see any visible damage when I opened it though. There is no packing material so any impact from dropping it goes straight to the futon. ... show more

I love the look and color, we got it in a pinch, needing some new seating in upstairs loft where kids game and watch TV, as well as some guest sleeping arrangements. It is attractive, but super firm, not a comfy couch for relaxing on, we ended ip letting the guest sleep in my son’s bed and he slept on this (10 year old didn’t mind!). I will get a memory foam pad to go on it for guests in try future. It was inexpensive; you get what you pay for! ... show more

My only issue with this item is that it has a small puncture on one of the armrests. It did come with a card to contact the seller directly, and I prefer to do that because everything else about the couch is great, but i, unfortunately, tossed out the card with the rest of the packaging. The couch was purchased to be used in a youth program, and 4-5 of the kids sit on it comfortably. They love the leaning position, especially when we do our reading time and SEL meditations. NOT 81. 5 inches wide. The front edge is 76" wide. It is not cushy, I would NOT like to try sleeping on it. There is a empty space across the back which serves no purpose (see the 360 view). The center back looks almost like it is unfinished, with seams and strings showing. Maybe we put it together wrong, but if this is an ongoing issue, there needs to be an added instruction giving more specific instructions for this area. ... show more

I recently purchased this Futon with high hopes, but I must admit that my expectations were a bit too high for a $250 sofa. While it has some positive aspects, there are a few drawbacks that I feel compelled to mention. First and foremost, the sofa arrived with a missing knot on the left-hand rest. It was disappointing, to say the least, as I had to position the left side against the wall to prevent further damage during normal use. This flaw could have been easily avoided during the manufacturing process, and it was quite frustrating. Additionally, the cushioning of the sofa is only suitable for short seating sessions, lasting around an hour or so. It is not recommended for individuals weighing over 150 lbs to sit on it for an extended period of time. Moreover, I wouldn't suggest sleeping on it overnight either. Frankly, I would prefer sleeping on the carpeted floor for a more comfortable experience. On the positive side, the clothing material used for this sofa is of good quality. It feels durable and should withstand regular use without any major issues. The length of the seat is also adequate, providing decent thigh support. Furthermore, I was pleased to find that there wasn't much squeaking when sitting on it, which is a definite plus. In conclusion, it is a decent option considering its affordable price. However, the missing knot on the left-hand rest, limited cushioning, and lack of suitability for extended periods of use or sleep are definite drawbacks. If you're on a tight budget and don't mind these flaws, it might be worth considering. But if you're looking for more comfort and durability, I'd recommend exploring other options in a slightly higher price range. ... show more
