I’m used to putting ikea furniture together but this took a couple of days to build. Very glad I paid extra for Amazon to bring the massive, heavy box into my guest room. Overall, super happy with the trundle daybed and highly recommend it. I went with an 8” mattress on top (wouldn’t recommend anything deeper) and a 6” mattress for the trundle. I think the design is really nice. we have it in a guest room and lounge on it sometimes. The low sides make it work for tall people. It takes up less room than our former queen size bed which we appreciate. We got the grey fabric version. Bought this for my 6 year old son and the trundle for my toddler. Bought a 6” mattress for the trundle and it slides in perfectly. The top is an 8” mattress since it was the one we had, it does cover the arm rests though. The installation was super easy. Great sturdy comfortable bed. Was super annoying to put together with just the little hex key they provide. It would be great for people who don’t have tools. The directions were fairly clear and it took me about 2 hours by myself to put it all together.
