My wife and I had an RV that was a little over a year old when the main blind stopped going up and down. With not being that handy of a repair man, I was worried about trying to replace these blinds with the ones in our camper, since we were adding something that was after factory. After reading several reviews and hearing that it was easy to install I felt like that we should be able to do it and after about 30 minutes of working with the installation and understanding how to tighten and loosen The blinds. I was able to replace these exactly where the old ones were installed making this a pretty easy installation. I will see the instructions were a little lacking, and that if you look where current curtains are installed, you might be able to replace your old curtains with this possibly using the existing hardware from your old ones so do not throw away anything and the biggest thing is to measure the curtains so you get the right fit. ... show more

This window shade was a perfect fit to cover a rear window of a bunk bed. Our travel trailer came with a curtain instead of a shade and this shade was the perfect replacement for the curtain. It’s blackout so that will make my daughter happy so she can sleep later than when the sun comes up! Installation was pretty straightforward and the shade seems to be good quality.     • Made well, a struggle to hang

Loses a star due to the hanging brackets. They are easy to install but the rail at the top of the shade is difficult to keep inserted into the bracket. The bracket likely needs to have a bit of an adjustment made to it, since it depends, largely on spring tension to hold the shade in place. I was able to install the shade, but it came down from the brackets two different times in the same weekend. If it continues, I’ll remove the brackets and I’ll drill directly through the head rail of the shade to attach it to the camper. Otherwise, it’s a pretty well-made and does what it needs to do. ... show more

Excellent RV Shades. Provide great coverage and look really awesome. Much better than the terrible metal blinds that came in the RV from before and were bent and didn't block any light out. Did take a while to install because the hardware was different but got them done and very pleased.

I was pretty hesitant, but they're actually surprisingly good for being cheap. Bought 3 more. - Yes they do hold themselves up at the top (other reviews have the strings too loose) - YES you can cut these down (up to ~3 inches off each side if needed). the plastic caps pop off, and you can use a miter saw with a fine blade and carefully+slowly cut them exactly the same as household blinds, then reinstall the caps, just pay attention to the string routing. -No you can't see through them at night (at least not the black ones) The only cons Ive noticed is that the blind is only 1 layer, and the same color on both sides, so if you get black, and the sun beats down on the window, it'll absorb the sunlight heat. (maybe Ill try silver fabric paint for the window side) Bottom line, good cheap and effective. ... show more
