I opened this mattress the next day after I received it. Because it is memory foam, I had to wait for about 2 days for it to fully expand before I could sleep on it. This is how I felt after sleeping on it for about 2 weeks. It has different hardnesses on both sides. I sleep on the harder side because I have a bad waist. So I looked for a mattress for a long time. It is soft when you press it with your hand, but you will find that it is not soft when you lie on it, because it will fix according to your curves. It is really great. Another thing is that my favorite child sleeps next to me, and if I turn around, it will not affect the child's sleep. I like this very much. I thought that this mattress was going to be medium to firm. And while one side kind of is the other side is so soft that if you put that side down, the bed sits unevenly because the memory foam on the opposite side is very flimsy. I originally purchased this mattress because it had the option of being able turn in rotation but the other side is so soft it's not comfortable. I would return this bed if I could, but I don't have anything to sleep on. I'm pretty disappointed. I made the mistake of purchasing an awful (but a great price thankfully ) Nectar mattress set a while back and no matter which way I slept on this mattress- my back hurt every night! Went to visit my daughter and she had a 6 inch Novilla on top of a way too firm mattress set -I slept so great! So I still carefully read the reviews on the Novilla, decided to purchase the 6 inch to put on top on the Nectar--it came in one day!!! and last night was the first night I slept on it - (note: you really have to wait 24 hours for it to expand) - I slept well for the FIRST TIME -through the night! and literally jumped out of bed in the morning!
