If it doesn’t get better, this is most definitely NOT a medium firm mattress. This is way too soft. Going to hurt my back even more than the last one I had. Have only had it out for about 3 hours but the last bed in a box I purchased did its thing instantly almost. This is very disappointing at the moment 3 days in…..one side is at full capacity and very firm. Very happy with this side. The other side is more firm than 2 days ago but still not the same as the other side. Not sure why or how that works out but, much better. If you sleep on your stomach any, this mattress is for you because no back pain after stomach sleeping for longer than anticipated. This Novilla, 12", full size mattress arrived quickly and was well packaged, but good thing I had a male friend around who could help me get it upstairs to the guest room where I wanted to use it. Very bulky and unwieldy to try to wrangle by myself. The "instructions" provided suggested that a letter opener or similar cutter, was included with it, but nothing like that was found in the box or in the many layers of plastic packaging. No worries though, scissors and an Exacto blade made quick work of releasing the mattress which began expanding immediately and was fully expanded the same night. All four corners also expanded completely (in contrast to a few other reviewers who said their's did not fill out the corners well.) This mattress was purchased to replace an older, thinner - 10 inch, and worn out "mattress in a box" made by another well known manufacturer. It is being used in a spare bedroom that I rent out to other roommates. I have not slept on it myself, but the new roommate says it's great! I did test it a little and did notice that the edges are not very firm so felt like I might fall off the side of the bed, but seems to be adequate, and the rest of the mattress feels very cushy and comfortable. A Plus! The plastic packaging is very thick and makes a wonderful Painter's dropcloth! Lots and lots of it! I've saved it all for my next painting project. ... show more
