It's super comfortable with the right amount of softness to it. You don't sink down into it and its not too firm. The edge support on the sides is great, but at the foot and head of the bed is a little softer than the sides. Which that isn't a big deal to me. I paired the mattress with one from the same company and both of them combined makes 0 noise. No spring noise, no bedframe noise. Very little movement transfer when tossing and turning as well. After needing a proper mattress and searching for several months on Amazon I decided on the Novilla mattress after seeing that it had inner foam coils. I read a review that said it was bouncy and I have never had a bouncy bed before so thought I would try it. I've only ever slept on firm beds and sleeping on this mattress is like sleeping on a dream. The mattress is firm but it is soft at the same time. Hard to explain, I know, but trust me, it feels like a cloud. The top is a quilted fabric so it keeps you cool. It came packaged very tightly in clean plastic so the mattress was sterile and fresh. I love my Novilla. The quality is out of this world. I dreamed so much and when I woke up my back and diaphram felt like they were better aligned believe it or not. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Excellent value and a comfortable bed that's firmer than the all foam mattress I was using earlier. My only issue is that in the beginning I noticed almost no motion transfer with my wife, but after several weeks, that seems to have changed. Not sure what that means in terms of the quality of the mattress, overall I'm still happy, just would be happier if it had less motion transfer. ... show more

I set this up and gave it a day to fully expand before sleeping. Looks great, see photo. Then I had the best sleep I've had in a long time. This meets my standards for firm, very impressed by the technology. I'm not sure how there are coils in here, but they are definitely in here. Has very nice spring to it, watch out when you open the package, it will expand rapidly due to the coils. You will not sink into this mattress in your sleep, this is not some cheap memory foam garbage, this is a real mattress. I really could not be more impressed. It's actually amazing. Also heavy, very heavy, you will need a friend or a dolly to move the package. If I had to guess, I'd say the King weighs around 200 or maybe even 250 and the box dimensions are awkward. I bought this to replace one side of a Tempur-pedic split cal king that was too soft for me. Although a split cal king is supposed to be comprised of two twin-XL mattresses of 38"x80" dimensions, the Tempur-pedic I was relacing was actually just short of 82". The Novilla was only 79". That left a 2" gap when I placed it upon the Tempur-pedic foundation. That gap allows the mattress to shift slightly during the night. My wife and I were previously sleeping on a more 'popular' mattress brand that was triple the price. It was not a very nice mattress. It sagged on the edges, slept very hot, was very soft, and overall a disappointment. So, I have to say I was kind of excited to try something new, and having had great luck years ago with a "cheap" mattress, I was intent on not wasting money again. Novilla had consistently good reviews, not just on Amazon, but elsewhere (always check elsewhere for a purchase like this), and I was excited to try out a Hybrid style mattress. Well, I am not disappointed with this decision. This mattress is nice and flat. It has much more support. It is a bit more on the "bouncy" side. I can sleep on my side without pain. It sleeps cooler. It's literally better in every way imaginable, despite being a third of the cost. It turns out, there are some items where you DON'T pay for what you get. I have no idea how Novilla is making money at the price I paid when you factor in shipping costs, but I am not complaining.
