We had a mattress topper from Costco that wasn't cutting it anymore. It was 6 years old, and there was an indentation where I regularly sleep. On prime day this year, I decided to order this topper to replace our old one. It's AMAZING. First of all, I love the straps that secure the topper to our mattress. I feel this is far superior to the fitted sleeve that came with our other topper. That one shifted all the time. These straps are fantastic. Second, I really like the texture of the removable cover. I think it makes it breathable, this cooler. I don't feel hot on this topper. We've had this on the bed a few weeks now, and my sleep quality has definitely improved. Was wrapped up like an expensive topper, so that was nice to experience. I read other reviews that said it had a smell but mine did not at all. It’s definitely not super hard but I also didn’t give it two days to rest like the instructions said to do. This is good if you need some more height to your mattress; it doesn’t make me sink uncomfortably like memory foam does so there is some support but if your mattress already sucks this isn’t going to magically fix it. I recently got a mattress from mattress firm and it was not providing enough back support for me so I bought the 4inch mattress topper hoping it'd provide better support and prevent my back from slightly sinking in. And it worked! The item comes packed in a heavy box, rolled up, vacuumed seal nicely, and relatively quick to unfold once airs let in. On checking the size again, the topper seems to be slightly larger than my queen mattress, which made it hard to put the sheets on but otherwise, I think as my first mattress topper experience, it's so far so good. I did a lot of research before selecting this and I knew I wanted an firm topper, but this was more than I expected. It was easy to open and did fully expend to just under 4” within 24 hours. I did not have any issues with a center bump or any smell as others have mentioned. When it was fully expanded and I laid on it for the first time I was a little disappointed because it was so firm. It felt more like a new mattress than just a topper. I was expecting it to feel just a really dense foam and it was nothing like that. It truly felt like a high quality brand new mattress and did not feel like foam at all. The first night I didn’t sleep great, but I woke up with reduced back pain for the first time in months! I have had this a little over a week and I have adjusted and fallen in love. My back pain has been drastically reduced and everyday it gets better. ... show more
