I don't know what kind of metal it is, but I can be sure that it is very strong, and it is very quiet and reassuring to sleep on. The metal feet have a layer of protective film to effectively protect the floor. It saves space, takes up the same space as a mattress, and at the same time, the space under the bed can be well utilized. For the price, I thought it was pretty easy to assemble and it's holding up pretty normal. On the instructions, I got a little confused at first because nothing was written out, it was all pictures, so it took me a second to figure out what certain letters and things were. It can be a little creaky if you move a lot and they do say to be careful of that, but it may have also just been how I put in some of the screws. Otherwise, pretty sturdy! I will say, I thought it would be just white. I did not realize they would put their brand name on part of the bed in green. This bed frame is kind of weak because there is no support in center of any of the sides. The boards do not fit all the way across the bed frame. There is a gap where the mattress would sag down and eventually break the weak wood boards. Now I have to go through the hassle of disassembling and returning and waiting for a new bed frame even longer. Very disappointed with this purchase would not recommend. This company makes decent mattresses but bed frames are not something they do well. I would suggest ordering your frame from another company even though you want the fram brand to match the mattress. ... show more

This frame has good points and not so good. But the bad outweigh the good, and I would not spend the $100+ if I had the option to do it over again. Pros: -Fairly easy to assemble. -Liked that there were not additional posts in the middle of the edges of the frame (let chances to hurt your toes by accidently kicking it). -No need for a box spring -Great storage space underneath Cons: -Ordered a queen, received a king. But didn't realize this until it was assembled. The box was not labeled as such. But we were able to take it apart, ship back for a refund and re-order. Received the correct bed the second time. -Very squeaky! Didn't take long for this to start. Every move or roll-over and you get the squeaks. This frame was puchased for my son who is 6'2" / 180 lb. -The screws come loose and have to be retightened all the time. My son used this for about 6 months, then replaced it with a standard frame with box spring and has slept so much better since! ... show more
