I just replaced my dim, ugly closet light with this slim one and wow! My closet is now bright so I can see colors better. This slim light fits flush to the ceiling, as described. It was easy to install, but make sure your wires are tucked in well or the light fixture will not sit flush. Easy fix. I placed my order yesterday and they arrived today, and they both are installed. I am very pleased with both the color and light output for the lights. One note of caution: Ensure that the bracket that comes with the light is perfectly flat. If the bracket is bowed the least bit, the light will not fit snuggly to the ceiling. Be careful when tightening the screws to hold the bracket to the junction box. If the screws are tightened too much that will bend the bracket too and again, the light will not fit snuggly to the ceiling. Only tighten the screws enough to get the bracket to touch the ceiling. I really like that you can adjust the softness of the light with a switch. This is great since you never really know until you install how white you want the light. It took me no more than 15 minutes to install and I did not read the instruction. The best feature though is this night light. If you turn the switch on and off quickly you can switch from full on to a night light where less LED's get power and shot upward to the ceiling. This is perfect for a night light or for when you get up at night to use the restroom. If you use the bathroom in the middle of the night I don't think you want the bright light and can quickly hit the switch again to use the night light. I have a ceiling fan that I wanted to convert to LED but it used those skinny halogen bulbs and there was no option (that I could find) for an LED in that form factor. I came across this light fixture which was about the right size for the opening in the fan’s light fixture so I decided to try to do a retrofit. It ended up being really easy! I cut the wires going to the halogen bulb socket then removed a bunch of the “guts” of the old fixture. I figured out a way to attach the LED’s metal bracket to an existing bracket inside the light fixture housing, then just hooked up the wires and boom! It looks great and works great! I did have to replace my old dimmer with a newer one that is LED compatible. ... show more

This review is for Novelux Black LED Flush Mount Ceiling Light with Night Light. This fixture is very light in weight and was easy to install. The sleek, simple design works well as a dimmable overhead light in the small room we installed it in. We like the three color temperatures: 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. A simple counter-clockwise turn of the light fixture allows you to pull down the fixture to adjust the brightness via a switch.
