The first thing I did when I got this was cut a bunch of weird stuff. I have to say for what this is, I like it. I read the reviews that mention that it bogs down. Any saw will bog down if you twist what you're cutting. If you hold your piece steady, cut straight, and go slow, it cuts just fine. I cut 1/2" plywood pieces just fine. I cut thick oak bark, cutting first on one side, then flipping it and following the line to cut the other side. I cut grooves and angles and little rounded (ish) ends. The cuts are smooth without jagged edges. I like that you can cut from either side of the blade. I like that you can hold a piece and just kind of manipulate it into the saw blade. There's no instructions, and there's at least one part that I don't know what to do with. There's also a hose thing that I think is supposed to attached to the hole in the back where the sawdust comes out, but there's no way it fits. The hole in the back is worrying. It's supposed to let the sawdust escape, but the blade is RIGHT THERE, and if you're grabbing or holding the machine (because it's so small and it moves), your finger can slip right in there. You have to be VERY MINDFUL when using this. Also it's so small, it feels like a toy. The urge to just reach over and grab that errant scrap or piece that's caught or whatever is SO strong. This is a real spinning saw blade that will slice fingers immediately if they get near. You have to always keep in mind to use a push bar to move your scraps. There's an easy flip button to turn it off if you need to use your hands for anything. All in all I'm glad I bought this, and I think I will get a lot of use out of it. It's so much easier for small projects than hand sawing, or trying to use the big saw for little pieces. I do wish it came with a case. Right now I'm keeping it and all its blades, tools, and parts in the box it came in, and that's okay but not what I would prefer. ... show more

Is it strong? No. Did it cut 1/4" wide sticks out of 3/8" thick poplar? Yes. Several of them actually with the wrong blade. I was quite impressed. I have so far found its best use, for me, is cutting wood veneers and laminates for small hobby crap. Kerf cutting lines for the looks of window panes or panel doors. Mini pickets and rails. Will it rip lumber like a big saw? No. Look at it. Will it rip thin balsa or pine or basswood? It will..and if you set it up correctly and nothing moves it cuts quite accurate and repeatable. I'll try maple, walnut, oak,hickory and polycarbonate/ABS/UHMW eventually. I have about 30 cuts with it so far and it functions fine. Photos are what I use it for. Cig pack in photo is for scale reference. That is a drawer front for a small scale red oak/rift white oak 3 drawer cabinet. Using that veneer as an inlay to break up all the oak. ... show more

For smaller and delicate jobs this works wonderfully. Easy accurate, straight cuts on plastic and carbon (wear ipe especially for carbon- look up some tutorials if unsure) The same for aluminum and steel Cuts up to 1/8” are a breeze. It might struggle with thicker stock, but it’s worth a try And wood Various blades facilitate cutting various products Multi speed Very impressed ... show more

I've used the large tooth and small tooth blades included and have found that it won't get through 1/2" basewood. Haven't tried on balsa wood yet but intend to. So far I'm not sure enough about its price to use yet. I'm still trying it out on stuff. I'll try plastic too.

I love this product! The blades are sharp i have yet to use the other blades as i haven't had a project for them yet, but i will be looking forward to them! The speed can be regulated on the power cord’s block, and can cut through what you need in general moderation. you need to let them get up to speed (like 2 seconds, its quite fast) before you use it of course like any table saw, and it cuts through wood nicely and the last thing i cut was a pvc pipe and it went relatively quickly! I love it and i cant wait to use it for some dice boards in have in mind. I will have some projects to show here soon enough 🤗✨ ... show more
