This chair was purchased for my 92-year-old mother and it is great! Lightweight, easy to collapse and compact for fitting in the truck of my sisters' vehicles. The chair is comfortable without needing a cushion and is easy to maneuver. The only downside is the foot rests swing around when trying to put the collapsed chair into the trunk. I purchased one of these to help with my mother when she has appointments or needs to get out. This is much easier than loading a regular wheelchair in and out of a car. This also folds up so small it can go into any vehicle. The legs come off easily and the back even folds down. Lightweight, folds easily, and so convenient. I would definitely recommend one of those for anyone who needs a wheelchair for appointments and errands. However, these do need to be pushed by someone. They cannot be "wheeled" by the occupant like a wheelchair. ... show more

I bought this wheelchair for my mom. She suffered a stroke a few years ago and can walk but very slowly and gets tired after a while. It's very easy to fold and unfold, fits right in the trunk and is easy to lift (I am a weakling and I can get it in and out of the trunk with no problem). It feels sturdy and well-made, and has straps on the footrests to help keep her feet in place. We have used it at the mall, doctor's offices, restaurants, bumpy parking lots and such with no problems at all It's making a huge difference in my mom's quality of life, as she is better able to go places and do things with us. I bought this chair to use in the house. I have restricted use of my legs, and have fallen a couple of times. I've used a rolator for a few years, but leg deterioration has made this less practical. I can move the transport chair around with my feet, and it seems much more secure than the rolator. I don't use the foot rests, and won't so long as I can manage to move myself with my legs. Our home has narrow halls and doors, but the chair seems able to navigate the turns well. There are three problems with the device as I am using it. The first is that the arms are quite high, so I find myself further away from tables than I would like. The second is that the brakes tend to slip due to the geometry of the brake mechanism. The third is that the tires are very narrow so they tend to sink into a soft carpet and make the chair difficult to move. I have added a set of cushions made for a rocking chair; they appear to solve the first problem adequately. They also make it easier for me to navigate. I am able to adjust the brakes using the supplied wrench so that the position of the chair is stable; however, this requires using more force to set and release them than some people might find acceptable (note that this brake mechanism is used on almost all transport chairs). We are planning to replace the bedroom carpeting with vinyl planks to solve the third problem. All in all, I'm pleased with the chair.     • Wonderful transport chair--fits in my car's tiny trunk!!

As advertised, this chair is lightweight and has been the most helpful thing I've purchased for my mom who is nearly 90. She is quite small and doesn't get lost in this chair like she does in the huge wheelchairs at the hospital. I'm not that strong and I never thought I'd find a chair that would fit in the trunk of my sports car. This not only fits, but is easy to fold and lift in and out of the trunk. I can take her to doctors' offices and shopping with ease and sometimes use it in the house when she is feeling weak. I first saw this chair at a local medical supply and it was priced over $100 more than Amazon's price. With Amazon prime, I got it in a couple of days and the shipping was free. ... show more

This chair can be taken out of the car and client seated in less than one minute. It unfolds so easily. The fold down push arms are activated via one pushbutton on each arm. The footrests can be taken off if necessary with no tools. There is nothing complicated for anyone to use this chair. It easily folds up into a very thin space if you need it to go in the backseat.
