I did not get a pad and am glad because I got a really large size and would not have been able to physically lay down a pad and then put the rug on top with my furniture in the room. I think I got a 10 X 12. I like the thickness because I can vacuum it and it doesn't get sucked up into my vac! This is a very well made rug. Had to lay is turned over a few days to get it to lay flat at first. Bright colors and good quality. Stays put at the doorway. I would’ve given five stars, but it has a strong chemical odor. Had for a few weeks and still smells.

Loving my rug it has flowers in it and it also has crosses. It is very easy to clean with no fuss, but do you do need a sticky bag or something to hold it to the floor because it does move.

I’ve been very excited to place this rug in the office my husband has been building for me. Unfortunately the build has taken a couple weeks, but tonight I finally got to unroll it and place it in my office. When the rug was shipped to me it was rolled up and completely wrapped in a thick plastic, and then stored on a workbench in our basement for a couple weeks. As I began to unroll it in my new office earlier tonight, I saw that an area near a corner is damaged (see photo). Considering how thoroughly it was wrapped for shipment, and the way we had it stored before use, it’s apparent this damage was there before it was shipped to me. I like the rug, so I chose to place that corner in an inconspicuous area where I’m hoping it won’t be noticed. ... show more

I am very happy with this rug. After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant to purchase it because it would be almost impossible to return. Many people stated the odor coming off of the rug was a BIG drawback. Well, it did smell like chemicals. It was strong enough to clear my sinuses! I was concerned so I checked the internet for suggestions. Two were helpful suggesting spraying with an odor eliminator, and sprinkling baking soda on the rug and leaving for several hours, then vacuuming the rug. After 3 times with baking soda the smell was almost completely gone. I went to the trouble because I really loved the pattern. Infact after a couple of days I ordered another one realizing that my front room could handle two and later on it would be impossible to find the same one again. It has been two weeks now and no odor. I have two cats. As a pet owner. accidents do happen regularly. This rug cleans GREAT. I am very happy with this purchase ... show more
