It is very thin - expected for a washable rug - so in order to easily vacuum, we "stuck" it to the floor with reusable grippers. I worried that the grippers would be obvious but they weren't. This was such a success in my office that we brought the same combination for my husband's. Not giving it a full five stars because we haven't washed it yet. Update: The rug is thin but is huge and the backing is the same as a traditional rug. I could not fit this in my large washing machine. Due to the thinner material I feel it was easy to shampoo however and it dried fast. Because it is low pile I feel it has already worn quite a bit. It does get a fair amount of traffic but I cannot say I would buy again. If you do not have pets I would say it would be worth buying for the price as a temporary solution. Super soft like chenille material; thin but to be expected since it’s washable. Still comfortable. The color is fine but I did order beige and it is more of a blue/gray to me. I even confirmed with the tag on the back and it is indeed beige. Still would recommend just be aware the color is a little off from the description pictures. Have not washed it yet so cannot comment on that. Overall happy though ... show more

This rug was advertised as machine washable. Directions for cleaning say spot clean. The rug was big and bulky and could never fit in a washer. I was very disappointed but did't send it back because it would be difficult to pack. Please change your description of this product.
