This is a perfect little microwave. Keep in mind it’s just 700 watts and most family microwaves are at least 1000 watts. If you’re looking to heat up coffee or reheat leftovers that are not frozen, this is AWESOME. If you’re looking to nuke something frozen that requires a 15 minutes cook time you’re going to be disappointed. Don’t fall into the trap of buying this because it is retro-chic and then realize the wattage is too low and the capacity is too small once it arrives. There are really cute retro microwaves available that are bigger and more powerful, but this is not one of them. The smaller capacity works perfect for a single person who doesn’t primarily cook via microwave or a small office that just reheats things. In my case it also fits on my cabinet without overwhelming the room. I chose the ivory color - kind of boring compared to the snazzy colors available - but it blends into the decor without screaming “look at me”. Cute and small, it’s exactly what I wanted. I had a giant fancy microwave that over-cooked everything. I wanted a smaller microwave, and the style of this one in my chosen shade ( violet) was impossible to resist! I find It works well and fits a normal dinner plate. I only need to reheat or cook small items, so this is great for my needs.

I have purchased three Retro microwaves over the years and have to say I wouldn't want to buy another brand or product. These are perfect little machines. After four years my previous black Retro microwave suddenly went kaput giving off a horrible hum and my muffin was not warmed. This time I purchased the white version and it sits atop my white refrigerator, the perfect height for me. What's different a bout this newer model is the child lock. The first thing I cooked was a corn dog. I went to open the door and it was stuck, solid shut. I pulled a few more times and thought, WTH? So I looked at the manual and the new procedure is to push the little "lock" button (you can't miss it) and the door opens. This is to prevent little kids from opening to a hot oven. For an 82 year old like me, it's a bit of an inconvenience but understandable. I give this product 5 BIG stars because it is has been tested by me over the last decade and for the price, this is well worth it. Takes a little longer to cook things, instead of 1 minute today for my corn dog it took 85 seconds and it was perfect! ... show more

I love my microwave, it’s so pretty! Never thought I would say that about a microwave lol. I also have the matching toaster! I will probably get their other matching kitchen appliances as well, they have quite a few. This is a decent size micro that will fit a large dinner plate. It will pop the bigger bags of popcorn if you put it right on the middle of the plate. If you don’t put it in the middle, once it’s started popping & the bag gets bigger, the edges of the bag will catch on the wall of the micro & doesn’t turn (which makes it not fully pop everything & you’ll have a lot of kernels). It takes about 3:25 for popcorn which seems a little longer than my old micro but with it only being 800 watts that’s expected. Another con is, the light inside doesn’t come on unless it’s running. I wish it would come on when you open the door to be able to see better when cleaning. The dials are simple & easy to use no instructions really needed, it’s that simple! If you have younger kids that you allow to use the micro, this one is pretty easy. For 1 min you just push in the dial & if you want to add more just turn the dial. Love it, such an eye catcher in my kitchen & I get lots of compliments. ... show more
