  • Better than my $125 work boots!!
Size: 10.5 Color: All Black
I’ve actually been looking forward to writing this review. These are by far the most comfortable boots (right out of the box) that I’ve ever bought. I’m really hard on my boots at work, and they are holding up very well. Good ankle support and pretty lightweight overall, considering reinforced toe. Great product and fantastic value for the money! ... show more

  • This is an experiment
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Dark/Grey
The media could not be loaded. Six Month Update: I wear these daily. Very comfortable. I have had these for six months and have not been delicate with them, and they are holding up perfectly. If I cleaned them they would look like new. Totally worth the price and I’ll be buying another pair when these finally give out. End of Update I work outside on my farm, cutting firewood, gardening, mowing, and I abuse boots. My only two requirements are that they are waterproof (I want dry socks when I work) and Steel/Composite Toe, so I don't break a toe while chainsawing and splitting wood. I typically buy a pair of Carhartt boots or Wolverine boots, $160 or so, they last for about 18 months and then fall apart. Either the top wears out and splits or the soles disintegrate and fall apart. So this is an experiment, if I can buy a $40 pair of waterproof/composite toe boots and if they also last only 18 months, then I can do that four times for the price of name-brand boots. And if they last longer than 18 months, that is a bonus. So far, I have no issues with these boots. I have had these two weeks, they do appear to be solidly constructed, the sole tread is a very good grippy pattern, no issues slipping and sliding. They are very comfortable inside. I have gotten them wet working in rainy conditions, they do appear to be waterproof, my feet stayed dry. I will try to update this review in six months or a year and let you know how they hold up. ... show more

  • Great Work Boot
Size: 13 Color: All Black
Love these boots. I do a lot of outdoor landscape type work and these boots have been great. Up and down ladders, hauling lumber, mowing and weeding, and other tasks have been a breeze. Love the steel toe box and shoe comfort. Some reviewers have questioned the waterproof aspect but I work in the rain a lot and am in and out of puddles and my feet have remained dry. I ordered size13 since there was no 12.5 and the extra length fit my hobbit feet without having to order a wide size. I did order smaller length boot laces (54”) as the stock laces (66”) were way too lengthy. Also, I clipped the two upper lace eye hooks as laces from one boot could get snagged on the other boot hook and cause a safety hazard. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Good price, comfortable, and great traction
Size: 10 Color: Brown/Black/Tan
I purchased the Nortiv 8 Steel Toe shoes for cutting firewood. Today I wore them for about 4.5 hours while cutting 50 pound plus oak round logs. The shoes provided great traction while dragging round logs up a hill to stack in a pile. They also provided great traction when pushing a large wheel barrel loaded with firewood up the hill. I never really lost traction while moving logs. Only a couple of slips because of the dirt giving way in the creek bed. As for comfort, these are comparable to the Armadillo 2s. I noticed that one shoe developed some micro tears on one side of the Oxford fabric upper after cleaning the mud off. The tears are not all the way though the soft shell fabric yet. These should have been manufactured with the Suede Upper like my Noritiv 8 Amardillo 2s. The insoles are terrible. Buy better quality for more comfort. I do not see these lasting for multiple years worth of fire wood cutting. ... show more
