I purchased these to replace my $180 Solomon boots. I needed a wide toe because my Solomons were way too narrow and pinching my feet. After coupon these were under $50 and the best in the wide size. Exceeded my expectation. Strong. Durable. Waterproof. Super uncomfortable at first and require at least a few miles to break in. I did an 8 mile round trip and now there is no discomfort. This is the 2nd pair of Nortiv boots I have purchased "although this is a different style and boot then my previous pair". So far after a couple weeks of daily use up to 8-9 hours a day at work as a mechanic they have held up great. They do say waterproof however I always coat my boots with a quality waterproofing spray "as I do all boots, shoes, sneakers..etc" to give them an added protectant and they stay looking clean and newer for much much longer. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the laces continue to come undone and you are constantly having to tie them. Would not be an issue if you double knot them however then they would be difficult to remove at the end of the work day. They are comfortable and have great traction and have kept my feet fully dry "even when the boots are completely soaked" and they are fully dry on the exterior the next morning when I'm getting ready for work. I do wish I stuck with just a size 12 and not the 12 wide as they are a bit to wide "I usually buy wide if there is an option in the past with no issues". That being said you can't beat the quality for the price, even if they only last me 6 months in my work environment I would consider it a win and would order another pair.

I bought 3 pairs of these hiking boots for a 5-day backpacking trip to Big Bend National Park with my teenage boys (well, 14 and 12) and a group of about 20 other scouts. At a 50$ price point per pair, these were amazing. We had hikes every day - anywhere from 4-mile round trip hikes with little elevation change, to summiting Mt Emory which is around a 8 mile round trip hike with major elevation change. We had hikes with just a day-pack with water (camelback) as well as our big Emory hike while toting 40-70lb backpacks for overnight camping (you need to carry-in all your water which is a majority of the weight). These boots were great. I got a size 12 standard width(in army green), my boys a 10 standard (brown) and 7.5 standard (black). My 14-yo has flat feet, and I initially got him the Wide version of the boot, but he said there was too much sliding in the boot, so we exchanged for the standard width and it was great for him. We all used thick wool socks while hiking. These boots were SUPER comfortable, extremely durable and worked great. While a couple of the other kids that went with us had blisters and such from their other more expensive boots, my boys and I had ZERO foot issues. We broke the boots in with a couple neighborhood walks prior to going, but the shoes by default are good to go I think. Zero materials issues while using them, great ankle support and if it matters, my 16yo daughter prior to us going was jealous of my 12yo son's pair (he got the black color) because she thought they were "super cute". As far as the soles of the boots, quite rugged grip, we were hiking on everything from flat sand next to the Rio Grande in Elena Canyon, all the way to jagged rock, gravel, mixed substrate etc on other hikes. The soles gripped everything fine, no slipping or issues with that. I highly recommend these boots for any recreational hiking anyone may do.

They are pretty comfortable and seem decent quality considering their price. I did immediately remove the standard cheap insole and put something in with more support. They are slightly on the wide side which I prefer as it gives me more toe room. I haven’t had them long enough to speak to the long term durability , but will update if they wear out prematurely

Not bad boot for the price. Just neen more opening around the ankles can be little larger. I don't have big calfs but I do hit the gym. The top of the boot rubs my ankles mostly the right one. Other the that. The tread is good and great for gravel.

I bought these in July 2024 for a vacation hiking in Yellowstone national park. They are lightweight, provide stability and durability, and are very comfortable. I continued to wear them daily for work which consisted of walking and hiking hills in the back country. After 3 years the rear sole wore down to the foam and it was time to replace them. Not to mention my wife said they stunk after taking them off when I’d get home for work after 3 years of use. She was happy to see me order a new pair! I highly recommend them.
