going from five eleven tactical side zips these boots leave a lot of room for improvement. after a few minutes of usage the side zip liner was noticeably uncomfortable even with thick socks. that liner is the least breathable portion of the boot. also my shins were getting irritated with the lacing orientation as unboxed. a simple solution would have been a (better) padded tongue. the tongue is also a made a little too low in the boots. i re-laced the very top rings and problem solved with the shin irritation. to solve the side zip liner issue, i cut them out. i did not care about the waterproofing at this point since the price and overall quality of the boots is worth that gamble for total comfort. i would still buy again since it's a lot of boot for the $

I work in a factory where I’m on my feet and climbing all day yesterday I put my new boots on to start my shift thinking I would have to switch them mid shift but I was able to keep them on all night without my feet hurting I definitely will be buying another pair

So far they have held up decently well considering considering I use them as duty boots in industrial firefighting and ems operations. My only issue is they aren’t the most comfortable in the world but a pair of insoles solved that.

I have worn a lot boots these are by far one of the best. The comfort is really good fit is perfect my only problem is that there is not much ankle mobility other than that almost perfect

Been using them for three weeks for a minimum of 4 hours a day, up to 4 days a week. I've had 5.11, Bates, and even some more generic ones. They are aesthetically pleasing, for sure. Exceptionally easy to put on and take off considering their height. My 5.11s were 5" tall and were more difficult to put on/take off even with a zipper, and the bates had no zipper, so it was just more of hassle. The weight is on par with other brand names, considering steel toe, so even if I walk with them for an entire day, I don't feel tired. The reason I rated 4/5 stars is relative comfort. While the more recognized brands I've bought typically cost more than $100, regularly priced, and I got this for almost half the price, the boots I bought were around the same price point on sale. Normally I'd rate them based on boots in it's price range, but I feel it's fair to compare to others regardless because when you're a savvy shopper looking for ways to cut costs, anything is fair game, really.
