I recently received these boots. They seem to be high quality leather and breathable nylon like material. The run true to size, and are easy to slip on thanks to the side zipper. I've worn them three times for short periods to break them in. They are comfortable so far. I'll update this review in a few months to include long term comfort and durability. They are well made and should hold up well as a duty boot. UPDATE: My feet hurt when standing for several hours. I swapped out the insoles with Dr. Scholl's "Work Gel Inserts" and that solved the issue. It was a simple fix.

This is the third pair I've owned from this brand. First time buying anything other than black. These things are comfortable and last a long time. I wear these boots everyday welding and no problems. As long as I can find this brand I will continue to buy them.

High quality boots. I'm size 11 - 12. Depends on the shoes. 12 for these is a little bigger than Im used to getting. I'm being careful with the side zipper due to other reviews. SO far no trouble. Pretty comfortable even tho they are a little big. I'm happy so far. If they dont last me a year I'll be back to edit this review. I Just wear them for casual walking in the snow not construction. Just FYI.

The big thing for me is that these things hold together. Most boots I’ve had in the $59-$120 price range fail in three months. Their soles split, detach or the foot support collapses into the heel. I haven’t had that issue with Nortiv8 boots. I have been using a even less expensive (discontinued) model than these, their only issue was that the sole support could be damaged by kicking metal objects into place. I haven’t had that issue with this model so it is much stronger. The previous model would last me better than six months. I expect these to do even better. Only issues so far has been a broken lace and the Velcro clasp across the top of the zipper doesn’t grab as well as it used to. They are of average weight for a boot, the rubber comes up the back of the heel to prevent scuffs from concrete stairs, the leather at the toe is pretty tough too. Not as much cushion in them as some, but still comfortable. They run true to size. Over all I would highly recommend.

To be honest and fair, that zipper blowout in the first picture happened from a small tear catching on my bicycle while I was pedaling. You can see in the second image that it was starting to fray on my other boot as well, and may have progressed further if I wore them more. It wouldn't be unheard of to catch the zipper on something in the workplace like I did on my bike, I just wanted to be transparent 😅 Really awesome pair of boots, my initial impression was very positive. But much like the very short lived pair of boots that came before it, I could tell what was going to fail on the boots, and that it wouldn't take long for it to happen. On this pair it was the zipper. That being said they were really enjoyable until they failed, and I'm sad to see them go. I had my doubts about how waterproof this pair would be with the zipper, but these boots actually kept my feet dry better than a lot of other "waterproof" pairs. Wore these daily while cleaning a grocery store cooler floor, where lots of housing and squeegee-ing is involved and good boots are pretty darn important for comfort. I wore these with gel/foam inserts so I can't comment on how comfortable they are without those added, but they fit comfortably, and seemed alright for standing on hard surfaces for long periods. I'd say comfort was maybe 7/10. Good support, I liked that this boot was a lot higher up on the ankle. The steel toe on this boot was actually really well done as far as I could tell, I had no instances of my toes rubbing up on them. They don't seem to protrude on the inside of the boot very much. And they did shield my toes comfortably from some heavy things falling, and some heavy wheeled carts rolling into my foot, more than once. Watch out for these soles being rather slippery. Once I knew to be wary of it it wasn't a big deal but this could definitely get someone hurt if they're not careful. These soles just seemed more slippery than your average pair of boots compared to similar products. Really liked how these looked and felt, enjoyed the build quality (except for around the zipper) I might try for a different nortiv8 boot offering without a zipper and see how it works for me. If they beefed up the zipper I would say solid 4 star product for SURE. As it is now, it's a high 3 star product, maybe look at a zipper less boot from them

You just can't go wrong with the price for the quality you get with these boots. Comfortable, water resistant and fit like a glove. Will they last...... maybe, we shall see

I really wanted to like these boots. The side zipper makes up for them being somewhat more difficult to lace, they fit well and looked very nice (note - the pair I got is all black, no gray detailing). However... One of the boots had a sharp piece of melted plastic on the side of the arch which would rub me raw on a hike; it seems that a seam thread was not finished properly. Combined with the fact that eyelets were unfinished and bare on the inside and made of plastic, not metal on the outside (bound to wear out quickly) made me return these. Too bad, I had another pair from the same company that lasted years and was very comfortable. Update: Seller got in touch and offered to replace them with a Nortiv model I bought 3 years ago and loved, but unfortunately the company doesn't make it any more. Still, seller reaching out was appreciated, and I received a full refund.
