This is not an 8" but a 6" work boots. Please update the description. I was looking for an 8" not 6" and planned to return it. But upon wearing, it's very comfortable, no break-in needed. The color is very nice. Very good price as well. I decided to keep it. Good work boots but I'm not expecting it to last long. I don't baby my boots. I use them as such, "work" boots. I attached a pic of my newly cleaned Thorogood 8" (left), this boots & banged up Keen 6" (right). UPDATE 05/31/26 : I'm so impressed by the comfort of this boots that I'm making it a 5 stars. Ordered the other two colors. They will definitely replace my heavy work boots, the likes of Thorogood, Keen and Timberland. I hope that NORTIV will come up with a true 8" of this work boots with the same composite toe protection, lightweight, side zipper and waterproof as well.

I have been wearing work boots for 42 yrs and I have never had a pair that felt this good on my feet!!!! Wow what a game changer!! I wear a 13EEE BOOT and these fit perfectly to size. Light weight and the insoles are so soft it feels like I am walking on a memory foam mattress. For any of you guys on your feet all day long I would advise you buy a pair of these. I have ordered a 2nd pair just so I will have another pair when these wear out.

Very comfortable boots. They feel already broken in. My heel didn't slide around and my foot felt firm without discomfort. I recommend tall socks at first as the top of the boots will poke into your leg and leave circles. This soon, however goes away as it loosens up. The boot is not waterproof. I was walking in a yard after heavy rains and the water got over the foot portion and leaked slightly onto my socks. They are lightweight and comfortable. Well worth the cost.

I was very excited to get my hands on these, the promise of an affordable, durable, waterproof, composite toe work boot with thoughtful design features seemed almost too good to be true. I got my boots right after Christmas, heading into the colder weeks of the year. I'm a commercial HVAC technician and needed to ditch my old steel toe boots for both comfort and safety reasons (steel toes in the cold will turn your toes to ice and they are also electrically conductive). They boots shipped quickly and felt decent, although did run a bit large, which is just fine as I use aftermarket inner soles and arch supports. Comfort: The boots were a little uncomfortable at first but broke in well after about a week. They did a great a good job of keeping my feet dry and warm, especially when paired with a quality pair of all wool socks. I have flat feet so I have special orthodics and I also use anti-fatigue inserts. Build quality: The stitching quality and materials used are excellent: they are easily cleaned and repell stains well, the seams are tight, the laces are very durable. The eyelets for the laces are very durable and stay where they are supposed to, the lower lace loops are riveted securely. The laces themselves are very strong (corded nylon?) have a decent resistance against themselves once tied. The material that covers the majority of the boot also seems very durable. The bottom soles have no visible wear even after 45-60 hours a week of wear for over 2 months now. Design features: The side zip pocket is amazing, especially of coming in the house with snow on the bottom, it makes it much easier to slip the boots on and off without getting my socks wet. There is a nylon flap behind the zipper teeth that guards against moisture and water and adds an extra layer of insulation on the sides. There is also a loop at the top of the tongue that you can tuck the laces behind once tied that prevents them from untying throughout the work day. The bad part: The boots definitely run large, as mentioned earlier, this is no issue for me, as I use my own inserts and orthodics, but I could see this possibly being an issue for most customers if they want to wear them as is out of the box. My big personal complaint, and certainly the most egregious: I don't know why, bit over the last few weeks on several occasions, I have noticed that there is somehow moisture getting in the boots at the top behind the top of the composite toe cap and the bottom lace loops. I have had noticably damp feet around the front of the boots on several occasions. This was a huge bummer for me and I've noticed it on two occasions now while working in the snow. It's possible that this is a fluke and it get in there some other way. I'm hoping it was some other reason, because aside from the moisture, this has been the best pair of boots I have ever owned and the price makes it even better! It wasn't like I was sopping wet, but it definitely felt cold and damp in a few small areas, and I could feel it on my socks after I took them off to confirm. I had read many on these before purchase and I had seen this happen to a few other people as well after having owned them for a month or more. It's possible mine just have some kind of defect, or water got in there some other way. I will definitely update my review on the coming weeks if anything changes.

I can be honest in saying I was not expecting much. After my Keen boots lasted 2 hard years of outdoor/carpentry/forestry work, I was sad to see they discontinued the boot I loved. After much contemplating, I decide to give these Nortiv 8 boots a try. I needed a light weight, composite toe boot that could flex while I was kneeling, and grip well while I was roofing yet stand up to me kicking timber around and rustling through the woods when felling trees. Shockingly these boots are not only comfortable, but durable as heck! The zipper makes putting these on so easy, without having to tie them each time, and I find myself wearing them for Home Depot trips too. I’m not one for style but my wife says they look good in regular clothes and work clothes. I’ll take her word for it. I’ve spilled water, oil, grease etc on these and they don’t seem to be bothered. The one flaw I’ve noticed is that they hold clay/mud on the treads pretty excessively. One job was wet, and the customer had clay exposed in their yard and these boots just seemed to grab and hold. It was the only time I had this issue, otherwise they’re amazing. I’ll absolutely be buying another pair for a backup. The dark brown is a great color for a work boot. I’m about 2 months in and not even a sign of wear, and I work these daily.
