  • Compensates for MegaMax weakness.
Size: 2X-Large (40 Count)
Best I’ve found to compensate for MegaMax. I can almost get through half the night. Update: I really really don't want to go to the bathroom so many times a night. These one booster helps somewhat. In desperationI just tried the megamax brief and two side by side big giant boosters. It's like wearing mattress for a crib. Can barely walk, that's how much I need a little shut eye. And, this combination worked. 2 boosters in one megamax. Woke up dry but bow legged. If I can't tolerate this latest formulae I'm going to build me a tree house and sleep in a hammock and maybe then I'll sleep better being that much closer to God. ... show more

  • Using for nightime extra
Size: X-Large (12 Count)
Sometimes its not the quantity disposables hold but a side sleeper male - all the absorbancy is in the middle so the leaks are out the side. These provide extra absorbancy and seem to disburse the fluid helping at least a bit. I bought the XL and it fits in a L side tab disposable. (the brand we use) The single strip adhesive actually keeps it in place. I have already reordered, but at least for side sleeper dont expect a no leak situation. When I get time, I'm going to invent a side sleeper design :{ Even if they cost more, the cost of the disposable, the extra liner, the bed pad whether disposable or laundered, , clean up time , , etc , , it would be worth it for comfort sake alone. ... show more

  • Northshore products are great. Below I share which product combinations worked for our family.
Size: 2X-Large (40 Count)
I will cover a few products in this review which I am giving a 5-star review for Northshore products in general. I will recommend that you check the company website as well as Amazon to make sure you're getting the type of product you need. (They have a chat feature which was very helpful.) This reveiw is for "NorthShore Booster Pads for Men and Women with Adhesive, 2X-Large, Case/40 (4/10s)". As someone else wrote "you can swaddle a baby in one of these", that is true. Lol. These are very large. They offer a very wide area of protection and absorbency. They were used with a waterproof backed bed liner, and they did the job. However, I intended to purchase a product that had a waterproof backing, and the pictures/description for this product were misleading. I did mention this to the company. For the next batch of products, I ordered directly from their website to make sure I was getting the right product. I found the Amazon listing to be confusing and didn't seem to line up with what the company offers. The winning combination was "Heavy Duty Liners" size XL plus a 2:1 ratio of the Large Booster pads to increase absorbency. The Liners are plastic-backed with a contoured shape that offers full coverage (for both types of incontinence). The booster pads work like adding a 'panty liner' for additional absorbency. The Booster pads can be stacked, and possibly changed before the Liner is soiled. We still use a sheet liner underneath, but they are rarely soiled and are changed as needed. After a lot of research, (way too much), I found this to be the most cost-effective and functional solution. These sizes work well together, and came in good bulk options. I hope this helps someone. Take care. ... show more

  • Great when you need extra protection...
Size: X-Large (12 Count)
I used these pads within adult incontinence briefs for my elderly mother. Sometimes, she would wet very heavily and I went through a period when she was getting soaked even with multiple changes and using the highest level of absorbency brief available. I remembered that the CNAs at the nursing facility would sometimes put pads inside of briefs so I decided to try it. I only did this for overnight trying to avoid her laying in all that wetness for an extended period. These pads did the trick and what I really like about them is they have a wide coverage area and wick moisture away from the patient's skin. I only give four stars because they are a little wide in the between the legs part which creates too much bulk and resulted in chafing in my mother's case. However, I was doubling up and if you are using this with regular underwear, the bulk may not be an issue. ... show more

  • help extend absorption
Size: X-Large (12 Count)
For my bedridden mother these booster pads mean fewer diaper changes, which is a plus for both of us. They are slim, but even that little extra bulk still makes the diapers more difficult to fasten closed around the patient.

  • Not very effective for me
Size: X-Large (12 Count)
The description of the pad is mostly accurate. One good thing, it is long enough to provide coverage beyond the adult disposable brief or incontinence pad which was a plus. It may be effective for bedridden folks who use adult diapers to allow more time between changes. It is not effective for someone on the move seeking additional absorption for gushing flows that result from medications to reduce fluid retention. The extra width gave me an additional measure of confidence but was bulky to wear underneath clothes. The width between the legs was so wide it bunched and rolled up. The adhesive didn't hold up to the movement resulting from the way it fit. It is made to absorb more fluid, and apparently not as leak protection. When I tried this as additional protection with the adult disposable brief, the extra fluid ended up coming out the top in the front and spreading onto the brief when sitting. During gushes when standing the over flow went down my leg. While it may be helpful for certain situations, it wasn't comfortable, was visible under clothes and didn't stop the leakage from a full stream of fluid. Think about your specific need before buying this, it is rather expensive and not effective in some situations. ... show more
