I went back and forth on whether to get 6 or 12 but in the end I realized I’d be filling these tubes often enough that 12 would be overkill for me. 6 also looks better in my opinion because it compliments my other accessories without becoming the main focal point of the setup… As far as functionality goes, these are maybe unnecessary in the grand scheme of things but if it can save 30-45 seconds in the morning then that’s a plus. It also keeps me from having to open and close my Airscape coffee canister every time I want to grind some coffee, which is a good thing because I single dose my grinds and so it avoids letting in a bunch of air 2-4 times a day. I would also recommend getting the tinted version instead of the clear/transparent version. It will still be prone to the effects of sunlight (assuming you leave it out on the counter) but I imagine it will cut down on the amount of sunlight due to the smoke tinting. ... show more

I like that I don't have to weigh out my beans for each coffee, everytime I want an espresso. I'm older, mid 70's, so anything that saves time is a real pleasure. I think once, weighing the beans and filling the tubes. The cute foldable funnel is perfect and fun to use. No spilling the beans! It keeps the beans fresh and I'm not fiddling with bags all the time. My espresso has been fresh as can be everytime. It looks good on my counter. I'm very happy with this purchase. For the $100 price, I expected them to be better. The base is sturdy, the tubes are a very thin acrylic. The caps are thin and plastic, and they are actually a little difficult to open. You need a bit of force to pull the cap off of the tube since the cap more or less covers the tube instead of being inserted inside of it. Either you pull slowly and carefully, or you’ll end up with beans all over the floor when the cap breeches the rubber seal holding it on. I use Weber Bean Cellars as well, and while I wasn’t expecting that high of quality, I’ve seen some bean cellars on Etsy for a price similar to this set, and they are made of better materials. ... show more

They look great, and I love the one-way exhaust valve. I normally would open a bag of coffee, weigh, and grind every time I made coffee which leads to outside air exposing the coffee resulting in oxidization and staleness. With the bean cellars I could just put the coffee in and open them when I'm ready to grind reducing the amount of air exposure. The bean cellars fit snug in the stand, and are easy to pull them out. There are no damages in the stand and the acrylic is flawless. The stand was pleasantly heavy and had rubber feet installed. Everything was well packaged. I put 19g in the bean cellars and had plenty of room left. It simplifies my morning routine tremendously, especially since I make multiple drinks in the morning. I don't see any clear downsides to them. I use the Bean Cellars for speed and convenience, and my family goes through 12 tubes in a little under a week so I don't have to often refill them. I enjoy using them, even the small silicone funnel is great. I understand they aren't for everyone, but if you're into single dosing I would highly recommend these. ... show more

On the surface, these appear to be quite expensive. However after doing some research, other versions available are far more expensive. I put about 18g in each for my dose, and these easily hold that amount with room for more if you wanted a larger dose. These aren’t a necessity, but they do make one less item to do which is especially helpful on those mornings where you need coffee to make coffee. I got the 6 count version as I tend to make one double shot espresso per day, and then I can refill on the weekend. These are also made out of acrylic rather than glass which seemed like a better option for someone who’s been known to have butter fingers. ... show more
