I keep them in the microwave to remind people to use them. They work well for their intended use. They are also easy to clean. There are other food covers on Amazon that are cheaper, perhaps more convenient, but buying U.S. products (hopefully all components with this one are American-made) is extremely important to me. I don't mind the extra cost, especially when the product is very well made (love the knob to lift the cover), easy to clean, etc. The additional feature of being able to semi-steam food via the cover keeps meals moist. I won't be attaching it to the oven roof, but just keep it handy inside the microwave. The 11" size perfectly fits my 11" Mikasa Italian Countryside plates, even "snapping" onto the edge!
