It's heavy so it doesn't blow around or get knocked off the table. It looks good and it looks a little bigger than you think - which I think is a good thing. Threw some alcohol in the hole, lit it, and bam, there was fire! Alright, I didn't put drinking alcohol, I used an actual lighter and it lit calmly - whatever. It looks good though, subtle flame and it works great. Anyway, I bought this to impress my wife with a little outside veranda ambience while we drink some fine wine and reminisce, and it worked! Such a super and unique gift! Loved receiving this-haven’t used it yet, waiting for the weekend gathering. BUT, one of the extendable skewers arrived with the wood on the handle all smashed up.     • Nice looking but didn’t last.
I really liked the looks of the small fire pit but after only three uses it cracked and the finish came off. I would not recommend anyone to buy it. They say it’s guaranteed but no phone number that I can call to see if they can fix or replace it or better yet give me a refund.

Purchased this so my Thanksgiving houseguests and I could roast marshmallows and make s’mores. Just poured some alcohol into the receptacle and ignited it with a match. Worked as designed. The flame was small but lasted long enough to make all the s’mores we wanted. It was set up indoors on the stone countertop. One thing to point out is this item is very heavy, in case anyone has lifting restrictions. I could lift it fine but with two hands. The media could not be loaded. Very sturdy and just what the patio needed an element of fire. I used alcohol vs ethanol fuel and it performed well. We got almost 2 hours before it burned out. There is no cover so I used a disposable shower cap once cooled. I would buy again.

Got this for daughter's birthday. Bought the recommended eco fuel. Flame is perfectly beautiful. Kids love it for smores anytime. I found that the eco fuel lasts about 2 hours with pouring a full can and if there is any leftover when you are done, it will evaporate, so just pour what you will use in one session. It's great for porch ambiance. I like it so much, thinking about getting another one. Concrete is heavy but perfect for this application. We let the flame heat up for several minutes before we start marshmallows. It starts out low and increases. We love this and I will consider for gift giving! ... show more
