Description

Klein Tools Premium Electrical Test Kit (Cat. No. RT250KIT) includes an electrical receptacle tester with LCD and a non-contact voltage tester with flashlight. The electrical receptacle tester (Cat. No. RT250) tests the wiring conditions at an electrical outlet and inspects GFCI devices. The LCD displays the voltage, identifies the wiring fault, and the time required to trip a GFCI device. It is designated for use with North American 3-wire 120V electrical outlets. The non-contact voltage tester with flashlight (Cat. No. NCVT3P) has dual-range detection from 12 to 1000V AC or 70 to 1000V AC for a broad variety of low-voltage or standard voltage applications. The bright flashlight can be used independent of, or with the voltage detection function.

Works Great!
Works great! The pen tester has two modes one, one that cuts of lower voltage from the reading to help prevent false-live readings, very useful! I find the VAC reading on the outlet tester to be very useful for extra diagnostics that a basic outlet tester won't provide. The GFCI testing function is also very useful. ... show more

Great tool to have in the proverbial tool belt. Used to test electric current when installing my EV charger, along with checking various outlets around the house.

Great kit for checking your house
The voltage detector works well to give you an idea if the circuit is live, don't trust it as your only detection method but for a quick check to ensure a circuit is live or not is fine. The real winner is the plug-in tester, LCD display is easy to read, gives a circuit trip time for your GFCI outlets from anywhere in the line, and clearly displays the status of the outlet and diagnoses any problems clearly. I personally found several outlets around my home that were wired incorrectly and must have been that way for years. ... show more

So handy!
This is such a great, useful tool! Now that I have it, I find myself using it a lot. I just used it last week when I changed out my hard-wired smoke alarms. I wanted to make sure the power was truly shut off before touching the wiring. Thank God I had this because my circuit breakers weren’t labeled correctly, so although I thought the power was off, it really was still on. This tool was quick to tell me that and saved me from getting shocked! Excellent quality from Klein as always! ... show more
