  • My Goto Fan
Half the price of the As, better pressure and airflow with only a couple dB(A) more but in truth, I can barely hear these when they are at max RPM, just a low whoosh of air, nothing annoying. Works in our home theater just splendidly. I replaced the fans on the ThermalRight Assassin with these because they have more airflow and pressure and a high rated MTBF whereas the stock 120s on the Assassin were not rated at all. So five total, one on lower front, one on very bottom, one on rear of the case and two on the CPU cooler. The case fans have screen dust filters. Cinebench results right up there with their top slot, difference accountable by running background processes. i7-13700K running @5400 when needed, Asus Z790-Plus, G.SKILL (2x32) CL28-34-34-89, one 2T 990pro m.2 and two 1T SATA SSDs , MSI Ventus RTX 4060 8GB, pretty darn good for all these heat producers and simple air cooling. Case is a heavily modified and ancient Antec P160. Three of these fans mounted on the case pull cool air in and exhaust out the top which was cutout ~5x10 with a nibbler and covered with 6x6 galvanized HW cloth (heat rises). All fans controlled by Asus AI cooling 2. What I find interesting is that I hardly ever hear these fans. They spend the vast majority of time between 700 and a 1000rpm even when playing BG3 and are inaudible to me. A testament that they move sufficient air to keep everything cool at quiet low rpms. Love these fans. ... show more

  • A high quality fan, even for Noctua’s “low-cost” line
Even though this is Noctua’s low-cost line, this is a very nice fan. It is very quiet. It has a low running speed capability (I have mine set to start at ~200 RPM). The gap between the blade and the edge of the housing is the smallest I’ve seen - likely improves static pressure capability. The rubberized corners provide nice mechanical isolation from the metal cabinet I mounted the can on. PWM control works nicely with a 2-channel fan controller I bought on Amazon. Given the quietness, and the build quality, I’ll likely use Noctua fans for most of my future needs. ... show more

  • Very Solid Built! Impressed by its performance!
Ordered this fan for my PC as an exhaust fan, because I got sick of my temps creeping up when gaming for extended periods of time. This fan is a beast in more ways then one, it moves a lot of air, but with the air movement it does get ramped up on noise. If you are looking for a more quite solution then this would probably not be the fan for you. in saying that you could use this fan at lower speeds and the noise is not as noticeable. I choose to run the fan at max speed when my PC hits a certain temp threshold. i have noticed a huge difference in overall temps and heat lag on my system. It has been solid as I use my PC daily for numerous hours and has not skipped a beat, no bearing noise, or anything. I highly recommend this fan for anyone, just be aware the faster it turns the louder it will get so set your fans speeds to your liking. It is also very solid built! ... show more

  • Quality and not too loud
Decent, reduced temps by 8 degrees, not annoyingly loud, looks and feels sturdy.

  • My personal favorite
It’s a Noctua fan at a competitive price. You get everything you can ask for. I’ve used these fans since they came out in dozens of computers. 1. Reliable 2. Silent 3. High static pressure (replaced stock thermal right fans that came with my cooler) 4. High Airflow You can get higher performance fans from Noctua and other brands, but not for this price. Arctic fans sacrifice sound levels, and Noctua A-14 cost triple the money. If you want the most performance, go with Noctua Industrial 3000 rpm fans. Their performance far exceeds anything I’ve seen, but your system will sound like a jet engine. Overall, these fans are perfect for 90% of consumers. ... show more

  • Great Radiator Fans But Scammy Business Model
These actually look almost attractive with the optional rubber corners installed. Even with the added cost of the corners, these fans represent a great price-performance point for that they are. I have four of these mounted to a 30mm thick 480 radiator. They move a huge amount of air through my radiator. At full speed, they are a little loud, but at 50% or 60% speed, they are literally whisper quiet and still move enough air through my radiator to sink 600+ watts while keeping my coolant barely above 30c. These are massive overkill for my application. On the other hand, who doesn't like massive overkill? It irks me a little that I have to buy $15 worth of little rubber bits on top of $60 for the fans. But, this annoyance is mostly offset by the fact the fans are not butt ugly like most of the other Noctua fans. I am good with the cost reduction and the absence of the usually included accessories (rubber screw mounts, low noise adapter, y cable, and extension cable). However, the fans look kind of bad without the corners These corners are more essential than the usual accessories. It just feels a little scammy. Noctua, if you want to take this good product and make it exceptional, my suggestion is include four black corners with each fan. If your customer wants a different color or wants eight of them instead of four, she can still buy the corners. I think the cost reduction is great and I do have a big pile of unneeded accessories from all of my previous Noctua purchases, but I don't have any spare corners. You took it a little too far. Add a few black corners to this product You could even increase the price by a couple of bucks; that would be fine by me. But don't leave me feeling scammed. If you keep doing this, it will ruin my brand loyalty. ... show more
