While more and more PC cases support 20cm intake, side-panel or exhaust fans, many of the bundled stock units and available aftermarket options are of questionable quality. By contrast, the NF-A20 is a true premium grade solution worthy of Noctua’s award-winning A-series. Please Note: The NF-A20 has a 200mm diameter (7.8 inches), and a thickness of 30mm (1.18 inches). Please make sure you have sufficient space in your case. While more and more PC cases support 20cm intake, side-panel or exhaust fans, many of the bundled stock units and available aftermarket options are of questionable quality. By contrast, the NF-A20 is a true premium grade solution worthy of Noctua’s award-winning A-series. The NF-A20 features the further optimised second generation of Noctua's renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability. In order to ensure broad compatibility with today’s PC cases, the NF-A20 features three sets of mounting holes: While the 154x154mm and 110x180mm spacing allow it to replace most 200mm fans, the 170x170mm spacing is used by many 230 and 250mm fans, which can thus also be replaced by the NF-A20. Noctua’s chromax line fans use a modular cabling system and come pre-fitted with a fully sleeved black NA-EC1 30cm cable. For refined colour coordination, white, red, blue, green and yellow 30cm NA-EC1 cables plus corresponding NA-YC1 y-cables are available separately. Maximising colour choices, Noctua’s chromax.black.swap edition fans can be colour-customised using the included swappable anti-vibration pads as well as optional anti-vibration mounts and cables.

I bought two Noctua NF-A20 PWM chromax.black.swap fans to replace the stock front intake fans on my Asus ProArt PA602 case. My goal was to build a 100% Noctua Workstation for ArchViz and 4K gaming, and I needed to guarantee brute-force air pressure to cool my Ryzen 9 9950X3D and an RTX 5080, especially living in a tropical climate (25°C - 28°C / 77°F - 82°F ambient). The performance of these 200mm fans is spectacular: Raw Airflow: They push a massive wall of cold air straight into the chassis, feeding the wind tunnel perfectly. They are the main reason my CPU idles at an incredible 43°C - 47°C (with the AC set to 21°C) and never exceeds 75°C under extreme 100% stress tests. Dead Silent: Despite the sheer volume of air they move, running at lower RPMs makes them acoustically invisible. There is zero motor whine or turbulence noise. Aesthetics: The chromax.black version with the swappable anti-vibration pads fits the professional, stealthy aesthetic of my build perfectly. If your case supports 200mm fans, upgrading to these Noctuas is the best thermal and acoustic investment you can make. They dominate the airflow effortlessly. ... show more

Noctua, what more can I say?
As most case fan, 3d printer, pc builders, ect... enthusiast know, Noctua makes absolutely incredible fans. I can confirm that, they do in fact make INCREDIBLE fans. I have a micro ATX pc build. My case doesn't have much room nor fan space, BUT it does have a 200mm fan for the front intake. Since this the only intake on my small case I figured I needed the best. When I found out Noctua makes a 200mm... I WAS EXCITED. This fan is very quiet at pretty much all RPM ranges and it also moves ALOT of air. BUT, be warned it is a MEGA-CHONKUS fan. Pictures do not do it justice and I greatly underestimated the size when it arrived. I ended up having to orbital grind the plastic on the front of my desktop case to make this fan fit. WELL worth the trouble. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. HUGE FAN = AMAZING FAN! ... show more

WOW these pull massive air volume! Nice looking too!
Bought these for a specific case mod where i needed to eject heat from a gaming PC mounted in a confined near ceiling box. I mounted two of these side by side on what used to be the face of the PC and can I tell you what no issues whatsoever with these fans solving my cooling woes. At first I was thinking that I would need to have some 120mm fans blowing INTO the case and these two fans blowing out of the case to ensure the flow of air needed to cool the 1070 TI and the I7-3770 when getting bench marked. With this push pull setup I found that the CFM pull of one of these fans was equal to nearly 4 of my other 120mm fans.... so what would happen the 120mm fans would be sucked faster than they normally would spin causing excessive fan noise. After removing all the 120mm fans and only having these pull air through the PC all the 120 mm fan noise went away and the cooling was maximized. Oh YA! Great Fan
This fan is nice. You don't know it yet, but it is. One of the nicest things is the mounting points on the fan. I have two Cooler Master HAF XB EVO's, they take a 200mm fan in the top plate. Not just any fan, but one with the holes in a strange rectangular configuration. This fan has that. That is a rarity you may not realize. It adds value here, now and in the future. The fan is running on a controller at just below/up to its max rating. It moves a lot of air out of the top of my case at low RPM, which means little sound. I have it on a controller so I control how fast it spins, usually at around 9-1100 RPM according to the controller which is not PWM so not totally accurate. I think my controller is 12V and it takes around two thirds of that to get the fan up and running without a no-spin situation... again, I have a controller with alarms for that. Always watch your fans when you boot, make sure they are spinning when they should be. ... show more

Big quiet slow fan
Exactly what I needed for my audio video receiver. Large enough to cover most of the top of my AVR, so the planned adapter was not necessary, I just laid in on top over the warm area and plugged it in to a power supply. I had anticipated using a speed control to slow and quiet the fan, and that was un necessary because it was quiet enough at full speed that I have to get close and hold my hand over to feel if it's running. Normal house sounds make it hard to hear unless it's very quiet otherwise. The large diameter slow speed produce a large volume of airflow at low speed, so there is very little if any wind noise. Before the install I set it up vertically on the table and even though the breeze comming off it was soft it would russle a paper napkin 6 ft away. Not a lot of pressure and very little sound. The AVR only gets slightly warm without the fan so with fan, it runs at room temp. I used a load triggered power strip and a 12V power adapter to come on with the AVR. I mistakenly left the fan plugged into the always on outlet and didn't notice it running continuously for 2 days. I bought the black version, and it isn't noticable in my cabinate. Noctua NF-A20 4 pin PWM 200x30mm fan: expensive but good, needs better screws in kit
The fan itself is great. Probably the best 200mm fan (for moving lots of air quietly) you can get here in 2023/2024. It has no RGB feature but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Still would be nice for this price. It does have 4 sets of colored silicone bumpers to dampen vibration which is a well intentioned but mediocre attempt by Noctua to add some pizazz here. Uses a 4 pin PWM connector so its easy to tune the rpms to get your ideal air movement and noise ratio. This is basically silent (~25dba at 800rpm) at full blast though and produces a very low pitch whoooshing sound that can only be heard up close (around 12in or so). I knocked off a star because of the high price (Noctua's fans are good but the prices...jeeez!), the fan cable is kinda short at 30cm (needs to be nearly doubled IMO, had to use extenders to just reach my mobo in my case, Thermaltake Core X9), and doesn't include longer screws in the kit. You're going to need 35mm+ long screws to mount this fan on many cases. The included M3's won't fit for many 200mm fan mounts. Its a bit thicker than other 200mm fans so watch out for that! It’s Noctua
You pay premium price and get a premium product. I use 4 of these on my Alphacool Supernova 1260mm radiator. Running all four at 70% and they do great. I’d have to drop the rpm a little for complete silence but the d5 pumps are noisy too anyways.

I received a returned item with previous customers address still on it
The fan I received had a mailing label to a single family home address in Battle Creek, MI. I know this because it had a big Amazon label placed over the shipping label and when I peeled off the Amazon label it was the kind that tries to mask the underlying label with a bunch of voids printed all over it. I used a flashlight from behind to get the information from the shipping label. The product box was not sealed, and the paperwork was missing, but other than that it seemed to be ok. I needed this fan, so I am keeping it. I tested to see if it worked, which it did, so I installed it in my rig. I have no problem with the Fan, it runs silent and pushing air through my rig. I'm just pissed that Amazon sold me a returned item and tried to hide the fact with a silly label. My rating is for the product! ... show more
