Initially purchased the fan to replace a faulty fan that came with the cpu cooler. Customer support suprisingly sent a replacement fan within two business days. I added this third fan to the cpu cooler and free fan clips from Noctua too. You just have to fill out a form to let them know you purchased the cpu cooler and their fan too. I bought 2 of these fans and a Noctua PWM Y-Splitter cable to replace the ugly brown stock fan that comes the the Noctua NH-U14S, and to run a push pull on that heatsink. I can't say enough good about these fans, the have PWM support as advertised, they run so silently, I was astounded when first powering up my machine. I can barely even tell they are running, even under heavy loads unless I look over to see that they are. They keep my CPU nice and cool at 38-40C idle and 50-60C under heavy load. The little bit extra spent on these was definitely worth it. The only thing is, that I wish they had some LED ring versions of these for that added cosmetic. I would have bought them instead if they did. Either way, great fans, and I do not regret my purchase one bit. ... show more

The fan is great. If you need the support brackets for your cooler just go to Noctua's support page and fill out the form and theyll send you the extra mounting brackets for free!

Great like all Noctua solutions, I just wished they offered the NH-U14S cooler with these fans stock. I bought a pair of these to keep my setup all black. That's the only reason why I gave the "value for money" a 2 stars. Noctua should just allow the buyer to pick the fan color desired when getting the cooler but despite "wasting" money buying a black pair of these to stifle my OCD I'm extremely happy with the cooling performance and noise levels given my hardware. ... show more

The beauty of 140mm fans is the extra air movement so they can run at lower temps. I use these on my NH-D15 coolers and outside of very heavy loads, they run whisper quiet. Even gaming they are near dead silent. Make sure to adjust your fan curves as for normal usage on my 9900k @ 5.1ghz I can keep the fans running at ~25% speed and temps are nice and low. Like just about every fan, when pushed under very heavy loads they are audible but in a large floor fan kind of way and not a high pitched way which is a plus. The sound dampeners of various colors is a nice touch if your case happens to adhere to a certain RGB color scheme. 5/5 ... show more

    • Good Fan, BUT...
I bought these fans to replace some fans on my NHD-15. Seeing as how these fans are the same model as the fans that come with the chromax NHD-15, you would think they are wxactly the same. However, Noctua opted for a weird design that makes using an extension with this fan mandatory, unlike the version of this fan that comes with the NHD-15. I am disappointed because the extension cable is too long to use as a heatsink fan without cables being crammed at the top. I wish they would make it very clear that this is NOT the exact same fan that comes with the NHD-15 heatsink. ... show more
