I had high hopes for this set. I needed a setting for 4 and this set fit the bill. It is very well made and the colors are beautiful. I love the lip on the plates and the bowls are a great size. Unfortunately, it was not packed that well 2 of the plates arrived very badly damaged. I only deducted one star because the set really is pretty and otherwise well made. These will have to go back and I'm not sure I will reorder because of the packaging.

I prefer stackable dishes over others. It solves the problem of slippage on the shelf and allows for better organization. Additionally, the hand crafted texture and color are more beautiful than mass produced products and colors.

Many of my items, whether my personal belongings or kitchen items, are pretty much all whimsical, colorful, and fun. I don’t mind using Easter or Christmas-y items throughout the year just because they have cute illustrations and colors, like my everyday-pastel-Easter soup bowls with cute bunnies or I-know-it’s-for-Christmas red baking pan with adorable baby deer. But sometimes, for a special occasion or having special guests over for dinner, the elegant serving dishes can instantly create an entirely different mood and atmosphere. I got the dinnerware set in “Reactive Glaze,” a combination of green, brown and gray. I love those natural, earthy colors. It goes with any dish. Even if I pile a big scoop of mac n cheese on this plate, it'll look elevated. The two plate sizes are great and versatile, and I love the flat-bottom bowls, too. Although it may not be great for serving soup, it looks great for serving salad, side dishes, or desserts. I actually wanted to have those flat-bottom bowls because I already have soup bowls. Those came in pretty securely packed. With those elegant dish sets, I’m ready to entertain!

We ordered this to have a more casual set of dinnerware. We really like the colors and glazing. They feel nice and sturdy, with a good thickness and weight, and we had no issues with a run through the dishwasher. One thing I'll note. We're not really big on using certain plates for certain meals, but these definitely don't seem "right" for some foods. For instance, we had spaghetti and it just looked weird. The glaze is also very slick so the damp noodles slid all over. I think they'd be good for steak and potatoes, sandwiches, or a big breakfast omelette or pancakes. The bowls are also a bit odd - more so than you would expect from just looking at the listing pictures. They feel like more of a salad bowl than a breakfast cereal bowl. Despite my personal preferences I think they're great quality.
