Made from high-quality aluminium with white powder-coating finish, they allow users to give the cooler a sleek snow-white look that is right at home in all-white or black and white builds. Thanks to the easy, straightforward installation, changing the looks of your NH-D15(S) cooler only takes a few minutes and doesn’t even require taking it off the CPU. Combined with chromax.black.swap edition NF-A15, fans and their white anti-vibration pads, the NA-HC2 chromax.white covers give you the option to turn your NH-D15(S) into a black and white powerhouse that looks just as great as it cools. The NA-HC4 chromax-white edition features a bright white powder-coating finish that gives a sleek, snow-white look and blends nicely with black industrialPPC or chromax.black.swap fans outfitted with chromax.white anti-vibration pads. What a match for white motherboards, case interiors and all-white builds! Noctua’s chromax line heatsink covers are a perfect match for the black industrialPPC and chromax.black.swap fans, both of which can be colour-customised using chromax anti-vibration pads and cables (available in black, white, red, blue, green and yellow). Installing Noctua’s chromax line heatsink covers is child’s play: Put the fixture on top of the cooler, secure it with the steel clip, slide on the cover until the magnets snap into place – done! You don’t even have to remove the cooler from the CPU or take off the fan. Do you want to give your entire heatsink a custom colour to take things one step further? While spray-painting heatsinks is difficult and reduces performance, Noctua’s powder-coated chromax covers can easily be repainted with custom colours and decorations. Tired of flimsy, thin plastic faceplates? The chromax line heatsink covers are made from sturdy, 1mm-thick aluminium and feature a scratch-resistant powder-coating finish in order to match the build quality of your Noctua heatsink. These covers will increase the height of the heatsink by 5mm (from 160 to 165mm) and the width by 3mm (from 150mm to 153mm). I had a NH-D14 for years, but decided to overhaul my machine and make it pretty. The only problem was that big poopy brown heatsink. I love Noctua, but never liked the looks. Thanks to the Chromax line of products, I could FINALLY get the best of both worlds! Form and function were now in my grasp. Unfortunately, I had to buy a new heatsink, then get Chromax fans and these plates. I got the NH-D15S. Only con is the price, let's face it. $80 for the heatsink, $30 for a fan, and another $20-$30 for the plates? YEESH! However, you're getting arguably the BEST air cooler on the market that even fights the best AIO's. If you want to overclock with quiet fans and high style... this is it. I never tried putting the plates on my NH-D14 to know for sure if they'd fit or not. If they do, I'll write a review update. :P ... show more

Yeah, Noctua is Alright

I mean, seriously... do you expect anything other than a 5 star rating for a Noctua product? My system is a Ryzen 7 1700x on a Asus B350 Strix Motherboard. I was initially going to go with an AIO, but decided that in the long term, Noctua's just made too much sense given the cost to performance. Plus, my case is massive (Rosewill Cullinan). My color scheme was a simple light blue lighting, white cable mod extensions, and the normal black case. It looked fine, I loved it in fact, but it was just... missing something. I toyed with the idea powder coating the exterior of the Noctua cooling fins, but after doing some digging noticed that not only was Chromax going to go beyond simple rubberized shock absorbents for the fans, THEY WERE COMING OUT WITH A WAY TO COVER THE FANS WITH COLOR!!! I almost pulled the trigger several times, was going to pay extra to have them shipped from overseas. But, I held off hoping that eventually, someday, the US Market would have them. I waited. And waited. And, almost gave up hope. On a random whim earlier this week, I checked Amazon. Fastest $ ever out of my pocket. I may eventually get 150mm black fans with white Chromax rubber pieces, but for now? Happy as ever. Fantastic move, Noctua! ... show more

A little more aesthetic
Noctua finally started making their coolers more aesthetic. This just helps color coordinate a bit further. When purchased, the bundle price was the same as buying the DH15 cooler standalone. Temperatures are within 1% of what I was getting without the covers, so I would recommend these if you want to cover the fins. ... show more

Noctua is always great. Amazons shipping not so much
The quality is always spot on, and the color matches my build perfectly. However I’ve yet to use it since it’s taken Amazon months to ship the Heatsink it’s supposed to go on.. not sure why the delays are so prevalent lately but at least the covers are nice to look at.

Great quality, just expensive for a purely aesthetic piece of equipment. I feel like anyone building a non High-End rig is priced right out of this and it can't possibly cost this much to manufacture. That said, it's brilliantly conceived; there's just 3 parts. A magnetic base shaped to fit on top of the fins and hold the covers in place, a clip to hold the base in place, and of course, the cover(s) itself. The clips are extremely simple and shaped precisely to slip under the second-from-top fin and over the magnetic attachment, and holds it very firmly to the stack. The magnets are the right amount of strong to hold something in place without being overkill or making me nervous about their proximity to drives. And it looks flippin' great. These were installed on an NH-D15, bought two years ago and in the plain unfinished silver, as shown in the pics here of before and after the clips. As you can see, it's a hell of an upgrade in looks. Happy with the purchase. Wish it were $15 cheaper, but I suppose they're not hurting for customers on these or it would be. And there is a lot of nice manufacturing involved. Also of note, is I ordered this in the early morning in Southern California and it surprised me by being delivered the same night last night. Incredible. That's probably due to proximity to Amazon shipping centers, but still man, damn. ... show more

Looks nice. Adds height
This is a nice vanity piece for the D15. It does look good. But adds about half a centimeter to the already giant D15. Only about .2mm of clearance in a lian li O11 dynamic XL. Makes it look good in a black and white build. Pros: Great quality Easy install Looks good Cons: Adds additional height and width No RGB A little over priced ... show more

My PC now looks very nice and clean
The mounting mechanism is quite solid and it was easy to install. My white pc build now looks very cool, but it's a tad bit expensive for just purely cosmetics, and no cooling performance increases... Worth it because it looks cool. :D My wallet hurts.
