I bought these to protect my knees while metal detecting. I had some of the cheaper pads, but they got uncomfortable and really didn't work out for me. These are a completely different animal. The padding is ample and very comfortable. The Velcro is easy to adjust and holds firmly. I walk around a lot in them and I have to say that other than being hot when you are outdoors they are just about perfect. Far, far better than the more basic knee pads. They are quick to put on, easy to adjust, thick and supportive when you are on the ground and really save you a lot of discomfort from outdoor hazards...rocks, limbs etc. ... show more

This product is very well made. The cushions on the knee area makes kneeling very comfortable. The straps are slightly elastic and soft. However, because I am only 5-7" and 150 lbs, the pads keep slipping. I had to reduce the thigh straps by two inches. Now. They work very well. Future designs should include a way to adjust tightness. The current design is for bigger men or women. Perhaps a buckle type of adjustment. ... show more

Finally a pair of knee pads that stay put. I barely notice that I have them on. They are stable when kneeling, no shifting like other brands. The bands are very comfortable, no cutting or binding. I have seen a lot of raving reviews, that is the reason I bought a pair. I am not nearly as impressed as so many others seem to be, but not really disappointed either. They are pretty well made and ok comfortable, but for the price I honestly think I could have got two pairs at harbor freight and a pack of breakable drill bits. These did not solve the problem I had with others, but were as comfortable or better. I'm a big guy. 6'4 and about 300lbs. I'm on my knees doing various yardwork and general fixing around the house. These kneepads are exactly what the doctor ordered. I used to hate getting on my knees to do the work and would feel so much pain and it was brutal. With these pads, there is actually no pain and no crying.
