These chairs are really well made. We’ve had others that folded up and portable but they would get bent during the folding-unfolding process. These have a bar on the side that helps folding & unfolding that makes it super simple. Chairs are comfortable, pockets are more than sufficient and side table works well. The carry case is really nice also. The only possible negative is that because they’re so well made, they’re a bit heavier than most, maybe by a cpl of pounds. This is a SUBSTANTIAL, sturdy beach/camp chair. It's rated to hold 500#. It's heavier than a similar chair I bought a couple years ago and I wouldn't want to carry it a long distance. It's very comfortable and the side pouches are a nice addition. The side table is what I like the best. UPDATE: After using this chair for a camping trip, I found it a bit heavy to lug around. We were 4 families each with separate RVs. We'd share breakfast and dinner cooking responsibilities, so someone had to carry this chair from 1 campsite to another and back again. It was a bit too heavy for my liking so I gave it to my son for Father's Day. He thinks it's comfortable (his wife doesn't) and really likes that it folds up more compactly than brands like Timber Ridge, which I prefer. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Chair seems well made. Nice that it fold up so compact, yet fairly easy to open. Seat is fairly firm and backrest sits up, which is what we wanted;too many chairs seem to lean back. Time will tell how it holds up, but first impressions are great!
