It is hard to give an honest review as this is the first carpet stretcher I have used. Not sure this would last with everyday use but for what I needed it for (small stretching in 3 rooms), I bought this cheaper than I could have paid someone to do this small job. It worked great for me.

Fixed the loose carpet in a walk-in closet. My first time stretching a carpet. The stretching got better through some technique trial and error. I have some other areas in the house to stretch as well. One of those power stretchers would of course work much better, but this is a good frugal solution. One recommendation for anyone new to carpet stretching with a kicker, wear jeans or other durable long pants. I got a nasty rug burn on my knee while wearing shorts. Also, a rubber mallet works well for some tight spaces that don't allow you to get your leg back for the kick. ... show more
