I order these because I work as a carpenter in concrete in Las Vegas and trying to find a comfortable and durable knee pad has been troubling. But these have exceeded my expectations. I had a small problem with the stitching coming apart. Emailed and was responded to very quick and they honored the limited warranty and shipped new ones. My coworker has a pair of the Tough built Gelfit stabilizer knee pads and snapshells and I really liked them for the fact that they prevent you from moving side to side. That platform has excellent grip and also prevents sliding. However, they also have one strap that holds them one and after awhile it starts to dig in and hurt. This pair has two straps, one above and one below the knee and doesn't bind or cut off circulation. However, with this pair, I am sliding all over the place. I work on top of stainless steel roofs so my body slides in the opposite direction that I am pushing; which is rather annoying. I truly wish ToughBuilt would make this pair with the stabilizer that the snapshell has. Then it would be perfect. Overall, this pair feels great, quite comfortable and rugged. I feel they do protect my knees to a high degree because after 8 hours on a roof, I don't have throbbing pain in my knee caps at night. While the sliding issue is annoying, I would rather deal with that then having my circulation cut off by the one-strap knee pads or cheaper quality ones that don't fit right.

If we use cars as an example of comparison. While every other kneepad you buy from your local retailers are old Kia's and Hyundai. THESE foam fit knee pads are Bentley's in comparison. I can't wait for the gel ones to get here. The movement allowed in these is exceptional! I am small legged and knee pads always end up as shin pads or behind the knee pads. These are perfect! The don't fall, don't twist off your knee, stay in place all day. They remove pressure from your ankles while keeping your knees happy, comfy, and not screaming at you. Trust me. I was skeptical myself, after buying, I will NEVER buy another brand of knee pad unless they stop making these babies. I do tile, so I'm on my knees for 6-8 hours a day when my helper is there to make my cuts. No complaint from these knee pads. Even when I'm up and down, no complaints. My only wish with these knee pads are that they have a rubber, or soft shell for working on the tile after it's laid, but I fixed that with some hot glue and corduroy fabric. Won't last long, but gets me through the days.

So far these things rock! Super comfortable and they definitely help alleviate pressure off of your ankles while on your knees. I use mine for Welding purposes so kneeling under a pipe and whatnot and they have been a life saver. I went with the cheap (foam) ones this time around and are looking to trying perhaps the nicer ones next time.
