    • Overall excellent quality with some design issues.
Pros: 1. Excellent build quality, which is standard for NOCO products. I have one of their jump starters, and it's great. 2. Very portable and lightweight for being an inflator. Cons: 1. NOCO makes it sound like this unit fills a tire very quickly, but in my opinion, it's not all that fast (although it's not slow either). 2. Very short 10" cord, so if the tire valve isn't at or near the bottom during inflation, you have to hold the unit in your hand because it won't sit on the ground. I think this is because of the size of the unit. If the cord were longer, there wouldn't be any way to properly manage cord storage. 3. Battery life is just fair. After topping off four tires (22 Corolla 16" tires, needed about 16 psi total for all), the battery was already just under 75%. If you need to top off all four tires, you'd need to recharge the battery for the next use to make sure you have enough power. I'm not sure if the battery would actually go for the advertised 20 minutes. Overall, for the convenience and the fact that most of us won't need to fill a tire from flat to "full", it's worth having. Their other inflators require power with a built-in cord and they can be a bit cumbersome. So both the corded and cordless have their pros and cons. ... show more

    • High quality, compact, and fast inflator for low tire pressure
We have four cars in our family and with the seasons changing and the temperatures swinging in different directions frequently, we kept having to deal with the low tire pressure warning. Before getting this very useful, compact, and well built portable air compressor, we were having to visit the local tire shop way too often. Now, with this little device, we can take care of the tire pressure at home. It really feels like a high quality product and it works fast for topping off the air pressure. Some people complain about the air hose not being long enough but I think it's perfect as it is so that the hose can be secured on the unit when not in use without it flopping around. Set the PSI you need and go. One downside is the cord is very short so you will have to hold it if the valve stem is on the top of the tire. Its small enough to carry in you bag. I just received this tire inflator today. I looked up the NOCO AL5 instructions on YouTube (search "kP2xzO4VV-E"), then I went out and topped up a low trailer tire. Easy and awesome. Nice that it shuts itself off at the correct pressure, so I don't have to pay too much attention to it while it inflates the tire. So far, so good. I hope that it lasts a long while. (I have the NOCO GB150 jump starter as well, and it has been fantastic.) ... show more

I’ve tried three different brands and each failed or wimped out disappointingly fast. This NOCO is sturdy, easy to use holds a charge REALLY well and will inflate multiple tires on one charge. I’m quite happy with this… it works and it’s easy and fast

It is very convenient to have. For most people, you will probably no longer need to go to a gas station anymore. Here are a couple positives 1. Versatile: You can use it to fill up many things, including basketballs. 2. Decimals: You can set halfs as well (34.5, 21.5, etc). Can't do this at the gas station. 3. Portable: Very light weight and easy to carry, it also comes with a pouch. 4. Screw on valve: You can screw on the valve like you are putting on a valve cap. This makes it super easy as you dont need to hold it at the perfect angle like you do at the gas station, you can set it and leave it. If you prefer the gas station style, it has that too... and this one locks! 5. Auto shut off: onces it reaches the psi you set it to, it will shut off. Although you have to set a psi higher than 15 for this to work otherwise its manual. However, it has a couple downsides: 1. Small battery life: It can fill up 10 psi in 8 tires before running out. If you are filling for the family it may not be enough to last before a recharge 2. Small hose: You have to hope that your tire valve is on the bottom side because you will need to have a stool or something to keep this on. The picture actually shows how small it is. (10 in.). This is honestly the biggest downside, if you have nothing to keep it on you will have to hold it in your hand. 3. Sound: Its about as loud as an impact wrench, which a lot of them are so its not a huge downside. 4. Speed; it is not the fastest, it can take a minute or 2 to fill up about 6 or 7 psi. So if you have to hold and hear it, it may get annoying or uncomfortable. ... show more
