I received my new high-density rug today in the tie-dyed dark gray color, and my first impression is positive! The color looks great and adds a cozy, modern touch to the room. While I will note that there isn't a ton of padding as the description might imply, it is definitely warm, keeping my feet away from the cold floor, which is a big plus. The 1.6" plush material feels very soft to the touch. The upgraded non-slip backing seems to work well, as it's staying firmly put even in a high-traffic area. I was also happy to see that the edges are tightly woven, so I'm not worried about shedding with my pets around. I love this rug so much that I bought it twice. The 1st picture attached is the [2nd] rug straight out of the package. It comes compressed, but is truly soft straight out of the package, and fluffy and beautiful within 48 hrs. I ordered the same size, but as you can see from the 2nd picture (w/kids on it), the original one I ordered is smaller than the newer one. (Larger rug. Same price? A plus!!!) Why did I have to buy another you ask? Because I washed the rug in a washing machine, as "advertised" in the instructions. It was washed in a commercial machine (because my home washer was too small) on cold and a gentle cycle. It STILL messed up the carpet's lining. The lining broke apart and the rug was never the same again. ANNNND it lost its amazing softness. :'( Your experience may be different, but I offer a word of caution and say simply spot clean the rug when necessary and it will stay amazingly beautiful, fluffy, and soft. ... show more

This rug is a nice size and adds a really good, cozy feel to the room. It’s soft and fluffy, and it definitely makes the space look better, especially for a bedroom or dorm setup. The only downside is that it’s pretty hard to clean. Stuff gets stuck in the shag, so it takes extra effort to vacuum or clean properly. I bought this carpet as an accent to my grandson's room. It's not soft and cushy but it is soft and Shaggy you can kind of see through to the bottom weave that the fiber is attached to but for the price you spend you cannot beat this purchase. It looks great the functionality was perfect for what I was going for. It lays completely flat and the color is exactly as described matched my curtains and comforter perfectly I haven't watched it yet or vacuumed it yet but I can tell you this I can see it lasting at least a year and for the cost who cares if I had to buy another one it's a great value for your money ... show more
