This small but strong magnet radio holder is pretty cool. It has 9 small but STRONG magnets inside, and it’s able to flex if it’s on a corner (like a 90 degree angle), also the place where the clip goes is able to rotate. I have been very impressed with this holder. I do feel the price is right for what it does, the magnets will NOT scratch the surface because of the rubber around it. The only slight thing that I wish they could do (to improve) is that the area where the radio clip goes would be a little deeper and wider. I have a few radios and not all of the clips are the same size, some are slightly thicker, if the holder was slight bigger and thicker it could be utilized for even more radios. But as far as this product doing what it claims, I definitely do recommend this for a few good reasons, such as; it will hold strong in a place, it holds an different types of radios, even the PA handheld speakers. I feel that the price is right specially for what it does. Plus, it’s so easy to use, Definitely recommend it.

Magnets are strong, and the ability to mount this on non-flat surfaces is great. I'm sure if I had gotten this to hold a CB mic, it would work great; Only problem is, I got it to hold a small FMRS radio (as indicated in the product description, as well as one of the product images). Unfortunately, the belt clip on my radio is a little thicker than what this will allow to fit inside of it. If the head of the screw/bolt which mounts the holder to the magnet pad were not quite so tall, this would be perfect, for sure. I did try this out with a full-sized mobile scanner (thinner belt clip) and it does fit, and holds that radio just fine (significantly heavier than the radio I intended to use this with). Unfortunately the location I'd like to mount this doesn't have enough room for the scanner to hang without rubbing on other items.

I bought this mainly to hold Meshtastic nodes on my van while camping, and it works very well for that purpose. It also works nicely with handheld radios. The magnets are honestly shockingly strong, especially with the rubber backing, and once attached they hold extremely well. In fact, I accidentally left one of my Meshtastic nodes attached to this mount on the outside of my van and drove halfway across town. When I arrived, it was still firmly in place. I’m sure someone could get it to move by going though rough terrain at high speed, but you’d almost have to try to knock it loose. That said, it’s not very useful inside the cab of a vehicle unless you have exposed metal. I couldn’t really find anything suitable to stick it to, so it didn’t work well for that use case. Because of that, I don’t think it’s a great option for a CB mic inside a vehicle cab. Where this really shines is for ham radio operators, Meshtastic hobbyists, and field use like camping or Field Day setups, where metal surfaces are more available. Pros: Very strong magnetic hold Rubber backing helps with grip and stability Inexpensive Cons: Requires a metal surface Limited usefulness inside most vehicle cabs Bottom line: A solid, affordable magnetic mount with impressive holding power. Not ideal for CB mics in a vehicle interior, but a great solution for Meshtastic nodes, handheld radios, and portable ham radio setups.

I am a ham radio operator and I have a lot of radios and mics. People in my club and I often go out in the field for events and just to see what we can do in an afternoon. This mic holder is terrific for this type of event. It is far stronger than other magnetic mic holders I have used. Further, the rubberized material on the back will not scratch your equipment, an important feature when you value your expensive radios. This thing is really sticky with the neodymium magnets they incorporated into the design. The actual button clip is highly functional as it is designed to hold the button tightly. That is excellent because it won't bounce out when you are off roading. It is an item you won't lose because it sticks so well. Definitely a good value for the money.
