    • Quite ingenious engineering - works well
I had my doubts when ordering but this is quite an ingenious piece of work. It was simple to install and use by viewing the pictures and video displayed on the Amazon page. Fully assembled, the controller still fits in the bag that came with my Air 2 Fly More kit. My 9th generation iPad fits easily and appears to be held securely. I tested operation with both included cables using both my iPad and my Android phone and they both work. If I offset the ipad, even the short lightning cable that came with the DGI combo kit reaches giving me an emergency spare cable. Caveat: when the mount is closed and folded over the controller it seems a little stiff to open. You will want to open it carefully pulling slowly from both sides. This is just a precaution as it may be fine and even loosen with use but since it is plastic it is better to use a little care. Disclosure: I have not used it to fly extensively. All I did was take off indoors for a short while and checked operation of the flight sticks. It was REALLY nice being able to use the big iPad screen rather than the phone. ...With minor modification. Needed an accessory kit for my Skyrover X1, but since nobody makes a dedicated setup for it yet, I had to look around for something that might be improvised. I guess I got lucky, because with only a few minor modifications, everything now fits and functions properly. Only needed to enlarge the two slots and shave a tiny portion off the actual remote phone mount. Cords appear to be decent quality and the lanyard is a very soft and pliable material with a nice spring loaded clamp. Would recommend to anyone looking for accessories for their Skyrover X1. ... show more

Skyrover S1 or X1 it works with minor shaving. With a Dremel it's fast and easy. You must enlarge 2 slots on this mount so it fits securely.

    • Tablet Mount That Actually works on my SkyRover X1
I switched from using my phone to a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite because I was having a hard time seeing the screen clearly, especially in bright light. The bigger screen made a difference right away. I’m not squinting or guessing anymore. I can actually see where I’m flying and what the camera is doing without fighting the screen. This holder is what made that setup work. It attaches without taking anything apart and holds the tablet in a position that feels natural while flying. Now, if you’re using this with a SkyRover X1, there is one thing to know. It does not fit perfectly out of the box. I had to do a small modification where it attaches to the antenna. I used a Dremel tool and widened the slot on the top and bottom so it would clear the ridges on the SkyRover controller. The DJI controllers have grooves that line up and lock in when you tighten it down, but the SkyRover has longer ridges, so it doesn’t seat the same way without opening that slot up a bit. Once I made that adjustment, it fit and held fine. I also noticed the added weight with the tablet mounted. You feel it pretty quickly in your hands. Using the included lanyard takes that load off and makes longer flights a lot more comfortable. I also paid attention to how that weight sits above the antenna since everything is mounted up there. Some how I missed placed my prop cover for my DJI MINI 4 K .. So I picked up this product. It’s fits perfectly. I actually think it fits on and off easier than the original. I highly recommend this product if you misplace or damage your original one.
