A nice console for the price, and a decent quality for the kit. Not sure if its a design of the fireplace or frame, but glass can't be re-secured with silver screws once removed and installed. The glass sits a bit loosely on the fireplace now. No other way to install without taking the glass off first. Overall, a sturdy console. About 3 hours for the install/build. Not terrible for 2 boxes of parts. Remote for the fireplace is a bit tricky, it requires direct pointing at the sensor to operate correctly. Can be done with one person if you use the Styrofoam to slide it where it will go first and bring it off. Weighs just under 150lbs assembled. Would be nice with more leveling feet without needing to secure to the wall. Not a problem since I have leveling pads but if you plan to mount your TV to the wall next, skip that step until you have a permanent location. Real Cons: I'd recommend a ratcheting screwdriver or drill on the lower power setting. A lot of small screws in this kit. Kit does not come with a screwdriver. Not worth a star reduction because I'm used to assembling this stuff and already had the tools. Have the tools before buying this kit. Alignment is mostly correct, but a few spots it could be better, or use hardware for better adjustment on doors. Pictures for instructions are a little vague in certain parts. Overall: Happy with the kit, looks nice and does what it is supposed to do! ... show more

The finished product looks amazing. Direction for putting it together were clear. All the pieces were included, and there were a LOT of pieces. Took 2 people 3 and 1/2 hours to put together. There was a dent in the front of the "fireplace" but the bar to attach it to the main frame covered it. I didn't want to wait for a replacement so just worked with it. The combination of the white finish and wood-tone top gives this TV stand a clean, modern look. Some components are particle board while others are MDF, as shown in the attached photos. The surface coating appears to be fairly thick and reasonably scratch-resistant. The electric fireplace insert is a nice feature and creates a cozy atmosphere. The flame effect can be used with or without heat, and the remote control makes it easy to adjust the settings. There is also plenty of storage space for media devices and accessories. Assembly took me about two hours. The instructions were easy to follow, although there are well over 100 screws involved, so I highly recommend using an electric screwdriver. The major drawback is the top panel. Within just a few days of installation, it began sagging and warping toward the center despite having nothing placed on it. My suspicion is that the material is not dense or rigid enough to support its own weight over such a long span. I contacted the seller, and while they were responsive and offered a partial refund, they largely dismissed what appears to be an obvious design and quality issue. Since this is a large piece of furniture, I did not want to go through the hassle of disassembling and returning it. Overall, the unit looks good and functions well, but the structural integrity of the top panel is a significant concern. Buy at your own risk. ... show more
