Fantastic product. Inexpensive, extremely comfortable, fit has a medium taper, quality solid and breathes excellent. I live in Florida and I get grabbing these from my closet for going out and about and I wear them at night as pajama shorts. Only complaint is the darker colors (black) fade a little over time after many washings. But nothing in all sincerity I wouldn’t expect after the 20th wash. Regarding the fit. I llove these because they have a slight taper. I can’t stand shorts that flair out and make me feel like I’m wearing a shirt. If you like super baggy shorts don’t buy these. If you like the more tailored fit these are the ones you want. Also, because of the material blend they keep their fit. You can pull on the product and feel the spandex with a slight stretch but goes back to shape. More importantly the base materials are done nicely. Breaths like cotton and looks like linen. I don’t writes reviews often. Only things I love or hate.

These fit as we had hoped. Purchased in the size Medium (34-36). My bf is about 5'8, 175lbs and a true size Large and 34-36 bottoms. The drawstring and stretch really allows for the most comfortable fit. Especially if you are between sizes. The material is thin enough for the summer weather here in Florida but sturdy enough that the shorts do not look cheap. The stitching is well done also! The only gripe we have about these shorts is that they are not exactly khaki as pictured in the description. They are closer to a yellow/cream. Which is disappointing because the khaki color is the only reason we needed to order these shorts. Sadly, we will have to find a khaki colored short somewhere else. The green shorts we've ordered however are true to color and I can say the same positive things about the green shorts as I've said about the "khaki" colored shorts. He said the shorts have some stretch to them considering how stiff they look when we first took them out of the packaging. You will see his attempt to show you the movement of these shorts in the photos. The length is also something he mentioned was great about these, they are not too long and not too short! Despite the awkward color, we will try these same shorts in different colors as they are perfect for our cruise to Mexico.

These are the best shorts that I’ve ever worn. I wear these to do everything, from working outdoors on our Texas farm in summertime, to running errands, to traveling… they’re great. I have worn these all summer now. Over that time, I’ve purchased five more pairs (and am probably going to get at least one more). The cotton/linen fabric is light and cool all day long. It’s still thick enough to prevent your legs from sizzling when you sit on a hot car seat that’s been in the sun all day. The 5% elastic gives it a stretch that prevents it from binding your legs when you crouch or climb up into a truck and get in the driver’s seat. No restriction at all, as if you aren’t wearing pants! You know, in a good way. Care is easy. I wash these in cold water like everything else I wear and hang them to dry. Like everything else I wear. This fabric dries super fast. Not like a synthetic swimsuit, but a few hours and it’s dry. If you hang these overnight, you will be able to wear them in early morning. I haven’t seen any noticeable loss of color on any of the three colors I have. The blue ones did a bleed a bit of dye onto the drawstrings, so I’d suggest to wash any of these with like colors. That’s just good laundry practice to follow anyway. Two front pockets are a lighter fabric that allows me to have my Case Medium Stockman pocketknife handy while “choring” and keep keys, an IPhone 13 Pro (not a small one!), and a thin “front pocket” wallet (which is all I use now) when running around. No issues putting my Streamlight in the pocket to run outside at night when something needs to be done. I have also put my trusty 8” Channellock pliers in the back pocket to do many, many jobs. Also, I’m not insecure about having beads on the drawstrings. While these shorts would look fine on anyone, man, woman or non-binary person… I’m an adult male, who happily identifies as “manly” and nowhere in my existential mental handbook has it ever suggested I can’t wear any beads. These are casual drawstring shorts. The wood beads keep the sturdy cotton drawstrings from slipping back in to the channel while washing or worse, using the restroom. (There’s no fly.) For one thing, I wear either a cotton/linen button up shirt or a t-shirt with these. As they are, as I have stated, drawstring shorts, I do not tuck my shirt in. This gives me a nice, light “vacation” summer look with some sandals or sneakers. It also conceals the drawstring once it’s tied. Now, if you may suffer from some level of fragile masculinity or have some other mysterious predilection against beads, I suppose you could still quickly untie the ends and remove the beads… But men have been wearing beads since before they started keeping history. Back when a fella might find it occasionally useful to kill an angry cave bear with a pointy stone tied to the end of a stick. They look fine, too. I like them. But I digress. The fit is spot on, I’m 6 foot, 2 inches tall and weigh about 250 lbs depending on what morning it is. Slowly loosing weight but the drawstring should let me keep wearing these for a while. The elastic band doesn’t hurt at all and keeps them up as long as I don’t have anything substantial in the pockets. So why only four stars? The cuff at the bottom of each leg is stitched along the seams. Because of the nature of the fabric, it doesn’t stay in place… just droops in the middle of the front and back of the leg. I don’t like this, so I popped the stitches with a seam ripper. It’s a dirt cheap tool if you don’t have one. And cutting the thread is very easy to do, just be careful not to cut the actual fabric. Once you get through the two or three loops that are back sewn at the end to lock the stitch, the rest pulls out easily. So I’m not grumbling, but minus one star on my favorite shorts that I highly recommend. The choice to include this cuff baffles me, as it doesn’t work. Maybe if you pressed it, but I don’t iron linen. It’s weird to even consider it when you’re talking about drawstring shorts.

I rarely write Amazon reviews, but these deserve one. I bought one pair, liked them so much that I immediately bought two more, and plan on buying at least 2 more in different colors. These shorts are perfect for warm weather. They are true to size, lightweight, breezy, comfortable, and surprisingly well made. They work for just lounging around, or going out, and because they dry so quickly and have a drawstring, they make a great swimsuit as well. There is no shrinking or weirdness when washing, after 4 or 5 normal washes in cold water, there is no noticeable shrinking or fading. They came cuffed, but the cuff is easily removed with a seam ripper which is what I did with all of my shorts. If I could give these shorts more than 5 stars I would. Just buy the shorts, I swear you’re gonna love em.
