We bought these lights to replace our old fluorescent ones. These are much thinner and nicer looking. I love that we can change the light brightness/color. Only thing that I can say is that the hardware isn't exactly the greatest and the holes for the screws don't match up on some of the predrilled holes. Replaced the lights in my kitchen with these panels. Much better than the florescent tubes I had before. Changing the light color is easy and intuitive as well. Its only been 1 year so hoping they last a long time.

It's extremely difficult to install over a ceiling junction box; it isn't meant to use a ceiling junction box for splicing; there's not room to splice the conductors; the splices have to be concealed in the very edge where it's hard to try not to pinch the wires with that sharp metal frame. And if isn't enough ugliness, its metal frame is too squarely, too ugly, no class at all; it should have been beveled for better appearance. That square box on the ceiling looks very cheap and ugly; I installed this fixture in a closet, so the appearance is not important. The color change isn't that impressive; but, it's OK to have that feature even if confuses users that ignore how to change those colors of light. And the worse part is that it isn't dimmer friendly, it needs a real good expensive one to keep it from that annoying flickering that seems to be another of its features or defects. ... show more

Compared to a lot of other similar lights these are a steal. Very lightweight which made installation extremely easy. I didn’t even have to use drywall anchors because they weight maybe 1 pound each. They look modern and sit flush to the ceiling. The mounting hole covers are a nice touch too because it looks very sleek once they are installed. I purchased 8 of these and they function as they should but they were more difficult to install that most lights because they don’t break down for installation; you have to hold the entire unit while wiring and installing it
