I’ll update after we sleep on it but we’re trying out having a futon in our bedroom because we find ourselves feeling pulled to lay down during the day while we’re doing work (work from home and grad school), and under our bed was becoming a sort of dead zone with dust bunnies and stuff. We wanted to try tatamis but I fear our dogs would make that very difficult so we’re trying this out. I set it up by myself, and while I’m handy I’m not very strong, but found this very easy. This took me exactly an hour start to finish. The instructions are super clear and the pieces well labeled, it’s wood but like the little stitched together pieces of wood way instead of solid pieces. I just used the hardware included and my drill. We are letting our mattress air out before we really try it out but we say briefly as a lounger, sofa, and laid on it as a bed and it was really comfy. The couch angle is really cozy. My wife and I are about 325 lbs combined so I’ll update with how it holds up, so far though I’m really excited with how it looks. ... show more

We received our queen size frame first which was actually two days before the expected date. The delivery was listed as completed so I called Amazon customer service and was told to wait a few days and if it didn’t come to call if I didn’t hear from the third party store. The mattress came a few days later so my husband put it together as instructed and all went well. The frame is well made and easily assembled. The mattress is a little big for the frame, 65” wide (the frame is 57”wide), so it hangs over the sides. It also has a chemical odor and unlike other microfiber furniture I’ve bought, the fabric (microfiber) is cheap. There were 2 lines of black dirt near the bottom ( lengthwise). Since we bought the frame and mattress as a set, we decided to keep it rather than disassemble the frame and try to repackage everything. We will probably at some point replace the mattress locally with one that fits the frame properly. ... show more

We are very pleased by the sturdiness of the bed frame. Finding a 100% solid wood construction frame made by an owned and operated small American business on Amazon was a huge plus. They efficiently answered a question about my shipment and tracking. It was assembled on top of a mattress topper/feather bed, which saved the knees and protected the wood. The instructions aren't wordy, and required paying attention closely. Kept triple checking progress versus the images provided, and caught a piece turned incorrectly two steps after doing it by comparing the pictures to what I was doing. Quick fix. After requesting it just once by email, one slat that needed replacement arrived promptly. It swapped out easily. The post-purchase experience, solid wood construction, and multiple position frame long enough for a 6'2" guy, all together put my 5-star rating for the product over the top. Ordered a 3" memory foam topper for the mattress from quality brand. Whole set up comfortable enough to sleep on and sit on. One more addition completed the purchase, keeps the mattress and topper from sliding apart. Covered everything with sheets, pillows, and blankets. the frame is great however the pre-drilled holes were not wide to piece together comfortably and some screws are not flush.Yet assembly was simple point in fact get a rubber based hammer to knock the wooden stocks in place no damage to the frame. Slept on it for 2 months now and is comfy but plan on getting a thicker mattress in the future. Mind you this mattress is fine 2 more inches thick will be sweet. Positions on futon switch easy and would gladly say this was a good buy. ... show more

I needed a wide one person recliner that was comfortable to fall asleep watching TV with my dog on the weekends. I found this futon here and was nervous of ordering furniture online. Since the reviewers were positive i took a chance. Wow am i pleased! The futon came in sooner than expected and in two packages. In my case i got the mattress 4 days after ordering and the frame came in one week after order. The mattress is nice and does have a 'new' smell to it. It doesn't bother me, I'm sure it will wear away. The frame is nice. If you like Legos, you will find it enjoyable to build this. It took me an hour to assemble with a power drill for the wood screws. The finish and quality are very nice. This is not cheap wood, and it is finished with a light natural varnish. Very pretty. It is also very comfortable in lounge mode and in flat mode for sleeping. Fyi, i got a futon pet cover to make it more pet friendly. 🐕🐶🐾 ... show more
