I had been using the Nioxin #3 for about 15 years, and just switched to the #5 in the last 4 months. My hairdresser is seeing a lot of new hair growth that wasn't there before! This shampoo works; just follow the directions. After shampooing and rinsing, use the conditioner and finger comb it from the ends to the scalp and leave it set for a couple of minutes. Your hair will turn out great!

Helps with hair loss and also helps to make my hair thicker. I use the Nioxin Cleanser System 5 so it is important to use the proper number system with your type of hair. I was using another system because I thought I had a different hair type - thin hair vs. medium to course. I got this information from my hair dresser. Once I started using the proper number system it made a change in the performance of the product.

This shampoo and eating a certain diet are the only things that help with a scalp issue I have. When I am stressed or eat sugars and carbs or every time I work out, I get itchy oozing bumps on my scalp that scab over and sting. Someone suggested this shampoo on a blog after in depth searching and remedy, I broke down and purchased this shampoo. I've been using it a year and a half and has drastically soothed the condition. I also was losing hair and now I have a ton of undergrowth hair. I recommend this product.

I like using Nioxin mostly for how clean it leaves my scalp, which gets rather oily. I have no idea if it does anything for hair loss, and that is why I got it. My hair loss slowed awhile after I started using it, but I think that it did that on its own and had nothing to do with the Nioxin. I have found another brand of similar shampoo and conditioner that is even better than Nioxin, however, the Nioxin is more affordable, which is something it has going for it. Overall I recommend it.

Nioxin has been my shampoo for years... It's cheaper online, if you can find the product you like. I have ordered this product several times, and half the time, the seller sends the wrong item. Not sure why that is, lack of attention to detail. But through Amazon, I always get just what I want. I really like Nioxin products. The only shampoo I've used for years, that doesn't build up on my hair. Plus, since I've been using it, Nioxin has been proven to help in new hair growth. A bonus if your thinning.

I have been using the Nioxin products for several years now. I had noticeably thinning hair. Within 2 weeks even my husband could see a difference. I've stuck with it and been happy with the way my hair looks. I'm sticking with it!!
