Really cute. I bought them for my siblings since they broke their old remotes after 2 years of rough use and I wanted to get them a cheap replacement until they get new ones for their b-day or something. They work great. Nice cord, a little light, really small (nothing a person can't get used to), but overall good. Buttons are a little wierd. I can't explain it, but they feel off. Their fine, just takes a bit to get used to. I don't doubt these won't last even 6 months, but that's why I got them. Their just meant to be temporary replacements until we can get new ones. Do not get this as a forever controller. Get it as a 'guest' remote or a temp remote. Good job HORI. Another goodie. ... show more

I purchased this controller for my Switch as I find the D-pad and control arrangement on the joycons too uncomfortable. Existing reviews about this controller are correct about the small size but it's not much of an issue for me. The small size does mean that the controller is very light and I was not able to wake up my Switch with the controller. The D-pad feels great on the controller and the buttons are also a bit clicky. Overall, it's a great, inexpensive controller so far if it being wired doesn't matter. I also tried the controller on my PC and it was recognized properly but the button layout is similar to an Xbox controller's except the buttons are 1:1 with their corresponding letters. I have a program called ReWASD that I use to customize the buttons on my Xbox Elite controller and it was possible to use that to remap the buttons on the Horipad Mini. ... show more

I knew it was mini from the description but didn't realize how mini it was till i held it in my hands. Suppose it doesn't help I have bigger hands either but I am still able to use it just fine! The "turbo" feature take a few min to figure out as the instructions are a little off on it but it works great! ... show more

Hard to believe that it has almost been 4 years since Nintendo unveiled the Switch, and changed the way video games were meant to be played. The hybrid console, and games like Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 have been mainstays in over 60 million households worldwide and counting. But when you look at third-party companies this year, they have had to step up production where Nintendo fell off, due to the Covid-19 pandemic earlier this year. This game controller from HORI is one of their more well-designed controllers. It celebrates Pikachu from the Pokemon games, in a stealth gold and black design. The controller though is a bit cumbersome, compared to other Switch controllers. Even HORI's Nintendo Gamecube-designed controllers work a bit better than this one does. Also, I am disappointed there is no rumble or amiibo support here. As a wired controller, it does work fairly well on games like Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate, but not on other Switch titles like Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
