I got it for $40, and I’m happy. It’s great addition to my setup and makes my switch look sick. (I got the handheld by itself as gift, no dock) High recommend buying Nintendo dock station for any 3rd party dock!!!! Spend the extra bucks, I didn’t want to either. It’s worth it

My wife's old switch dock was knocked down and broken by our kids, and this was a perfect replacement. We had all the cords already, so this was a good cost-friendly replacement.

    • Garbage. Worked just past return window…and then died.
This is listed as a genuine Nintendo dock, however mine arrived in a bag without the Nintendo box or any of the typical Nintendo documentation so it seemed off. But as it was a replacement for the original one that my kid had killed I figured what the heck and it worked at first. The connector seemed tighter than the original one I had so I thought that was better (since that’s what failed on the OEM one). But when I plugged the Switch into the OEM one my TV would immediately recognize that a Switch was plugged in. This one didn’t respond that way. The TV never recognized it, I had to manually switch over to the input. No biggie, but again, definitely different. So after a month or so my son showed me that the screen would just blink out for a second or two during gameplay randomly. This started getting worse over the month to the point it got to where it was doing it every 15 seconds or so making it impossible to play a game. Audio would go out as well pointing to a bad HDMI connection in the dock. I replaced cables, and eventually trying a different dock (which worked flawlessly. So I’d say avoid this at all costs. When I logged in today I noticed a warning saying this is a high return item. Sadly this warning wasn’t there when I bought mine or I’d have saved some cash. ... show more

I don’t understand some of the reviews; it seems identical to my Nintendo dock that came with the Switch. I purchased it to keep one in 2 different rooms. Yes, it takes HDMI, just like the original. Yes, it works exactly the same as the original. Good purchase, no complaints.

Nintendo cradles for some reason do not last forever. This one is working well for 1 month so far. No problems. Came in a generic box not nintendo branded on bid which freaked me out at first as this was expensive.

This dock comes without charger, or cable, absolutely nothing comes with it. So when you purchase it, you can’t use it
