I have used it make salsa, smoothies, glazes, chopping onions, tomatoes and even made hummus. I have yet to use it for other things. I am sure they will turn out great. With other blenders and smoothies, the results were poor. They either couldn't do the job, took too much space or, were overkill for what I needed. I bought this to replace a VERY OLD Black and Decker mini chopper. I absolutely love it! It is bigger than my old chopper, but not too big. It has a has 4 blades so chops very well, in very little time. Parts are dishwasher safe, so clean up is a breeze! Very easy to use. With bad arthritis in my hands, this is SO USEFUL! I am glad I bought this! We love Ninja products. So when I was looking for a food processor, I looked for Ninja. I bought the 9 cup food processor with this mini chopper, and I am so happy I did! I didn't know how much I'd been letting myself suffer and wasted time doing manual chopping, esp mincing food ingredients, until I used this chopper for the first time last night! In just 3 pulses, I minced my ginger and garlic to perfection! I don't need to stand for longer periods of time trying to mince perfectly. My lower back is thanking me... so happy! Soon as I got it, I put my ice in and made some snow. This also cuts up vegetables so well and the ease of use is low maintenance. Taking it art to wash it is so quick and easy.
