I had the new CarPlay screen installed in my 2010 BMW by a professional Euro mechanic. The system is functioning well; however, the audio is not working. We tried everything we could before giving up. Before I consider returning this item, I plan to perform a software upgrade on my BMW to see if that resolves the problem. I need to connect to WiFi. If the software update (if any) proves unsuccessful, I will attempt to obtain support from the manufacturer before returning the product. I will have to pay more money to have my mechanic remove the item and replace it with the original screen. I am up against a wall because of Amazon's strict 30-day return policy.

I installed this Ninetom 8.8" screen in my 2010 BMW 328i, and it completely transformed the interior. The display is bright and sharp, and the wireless CarPlay connects quickly every time. I can still use my steering wheel buttons, iDrive controller, and even my stock reverse camera, which makes it feel like a factory feature. Installation was easier than expected, just plug it in and everything powered up with no cutting or coding. The Linux system runs smooth, there’s no lag when switching apps, and the day/night brightness adjustment works perfectly. For the price, it’s one of the best modern upgrades you can do for an older BMW.

I installed this in my 2011 BMW 3 Series, and it completely modernized the car. The 8.8” HD screen looks amazing, CarPlay connects wirelessly without issues, and I can still use all the original BMW functions like the joystick and steering wheel controls. The installation was truly plug-and-play, and the day/night mode makes driving more comfortable. Couldn’t be happier with the upgrade.
